  • Thank you for posting. Indeed there isn't much with Steve doing this song.

  • The soundboard version on the Mountain View videos makes it sound like there is no crowd, so I love this version way more :p

  • great song...

amazing band of hard rock glam of UK.

  • 4.47 awesome scream

  • Steve's version sounds like the album. I just listened to Viv's, and he changed it a bit. Not that I blame him. Steve's style was unpredictable and unorthodox, but man did it work!

I wish this had made it into the video In the Round In your Face. Dunno why I didn't since it was their only #1 single.

  • Thanks, I been looking for it... You answered my question!!!

God only knows why it didn't make it!!!

  • What was your question?

  • Oh, I was just wondering why I couldn't find Love Bites from the 88' concert video!!!

  • Love Bites didn't become a hit until 1989. Don't recall where I heard Joe say it, but he said that later in the Hysteria tour when it became a hit they said "Oh shit... I guess we need to start playing this live". It wasn't until then that they even explored how they were going to pull it off live.

  • Actually Love Bites went to #1 in 1988. It was released between Sugar and Armageddon it. The tour ended in Oct 88. The ITRIYF concert was filmed in Feb 88 before the sond was released. They were not playing it then.

  • Yeah... now that you mention it I am getting my facts mixed up. It must have been "Rocket" that was singled in 89?

I do know that it was "Love Bites" that Joe was talking about having to figure out how they were going to play it live though in the middle of the tour. My best guess is that he says it in the commentary on the "Rock of Ages" DVD, but I could be wrong there too.

  • Im just curious, where was ITRIYF filmed? Japan comes to mind, but im not sure

  • It was filmed in Feb '88 in Denver Colorado and some parts are from the Omni in Atlanta Georgia.

  • According to Wikipedia, who knows if it's true, the song was released as the 5th single in 8-88 and quickly shot to the top of the charts in America!

I've always thought that Leppard was bad at picking singles. Sugar' at 4 and Love Bites at 5. Oh well when you have 7 songs off of one album hit the charts I guess it doesn't mater the order you place them!

  • i adore them ;(

  • there was a live video but it got took down I guess

  • awesome.. i wish u had the real video

  • nice! love the live version from this tour. esp the end and solo. btw cool pics!
