Needed to renew the washer on a tap today, the pillar was well and truly stuck in there and I had to give up before I rounded the nut section completely, they're 20yr old taps and have never been removed, any tips or tricks to help with that?

@joeskibobs
If you are replacing the head gear you can heat it with a blow torch and use a pair of Stilsons, but this will damage the head gear for certain.
Sometimes it is easier to fit a new tap!

@ultimatehandyman Nice one mate, thanks for the advice
Any tip to loosen stuck tap head on a kitchen mixer tap? (two lever type - hard to grip tap to get leverage)

@MrRKQ
If you are replacing the head gear you could try a little heat from a blowtorch, but it will probably melt the washer!
@ultimatehandyman Thanks, managed to get it off with brute force. Keep up the good work.

I had tried for a week to get the headgear off,using WD40
daily/brute force.
Didn't have a box spanner so used a vac cleaner pipe instead.
And it worked! Thanks. :-)

How about recutting seat whilst head gear is off ?
Using vaseline on threads so the next poor SOaB has easier job. ?
Also can you use a different accent on next video to add a bit of spice to it.
