  • Long live the Mac!!

  • One of a kind! Thanks Fleetwood Mac, and USC!

  • Always been a fave. Great video and song. Stanford!

  • Whats up with the convo? Take that crap elsewhere... Anyways, this is a classic freakin' song... awesome. Too bad they went with USC and not UCLA, oh well... at least they filmed it at CR.

  • Ha ha - I wish they went with the Bruins too.

  • your point ? of this video?!

  • I of course chose to reject the wickedness and SOLD the offending albums and said missionaries were still able to inform me of my error. I should NOT have sought financial recompense from the sale of mine sinful records.

  • Nah, they were just morons.

They hadn't even heard of any of the artists involved as I recall. (Bat out of HELL, superTRAMP, the BLACK sabbth and of course those demons of evil, the rolling STONES) The dudes, (two Mormon missionaries) simply "gazed upon my record collection" and via the power of GAWD, were able to identify the evil which dwelled therein. Thus they were able to WARN the young acolyte, my rabbity self, of the evils which were lurking under the desk.

  • I wasn't around for laser needles myself odly enough since I was also "on the road " at the time. But my second wife who I met around 1986 had one of them when I followed her back to her homeland a year later. She still has it and my LPs actually but we are friends. Some stuff is mine and some hers, just because we appreciate it more than the other, it is understood.

  • Hadn't thought of that. One day I should set up the bits and pieces I have for the old turntable (I have one of the last stages in turntable technology, I guess you knew they made laser ones at the end - no needle?) and the old amp and get out my collection of vinyl. I have only got the tamer stuff like Beatles, Beach Boys and maybe a few ACDC, still left, as I told you I was ordered by GODs minions to get rid of Black Sabbath, Meatloaf, Supertramp and Rolling Stones among others.

  • my dad was in the usc band as a snare drummer in this video. his bare back is featured at 0:49. he's rad and he makes me proud =)

  • You gotta ask yourself why an account with so little on it as this dandee guy's, and who has evidently done very little on YT generally, is doing making such an inane and pointless remark to someone in the first place haven't you? Even if his point was the typo, why bother?

  • There are about a half dozen Fleetwood mac songs I like. I have very few favorites amongst artists or bands, in each case except the Beatles they are individuals only. BUT some songs simply do it by themselves. I always loved the Bass and sheer BIG sound of this number. It has "shrunken" a bit over the years, I guess life has gotten bigger, but TUSK still makes my heart beat a bit prouder. What about the Eagles?

  • no difficulties here, I have a brain. what is concaine?

  • a happy powder that goes up your fucking nose!

  • i hate people who use concaine. you are a moron. youll get yours

  • Forgive me for suggesting this, but I think the publicity behind this video helped propel USC as being one of the finest collegiate franchises in the country. Nothing like Hollywood power baby.

  • This is just awesome.

  • its so funny how nearly everybody who comments on this video references the mighty boosh. but it is gre=at this song isnt a patch on the chain tho

  • The Ultimate Band......

  • he's still not over Stevie

  • What makes you think that?

  • He is.. she's not:P

  • Yeah me too. In fact... i'm going to book the trip now - even if i'm dead when time machines are invented they can still come back, get me, then go there, then take me back again....

  • i wish i was there... when they invent (hopefully) time machines im coming here ;)

  • i hav been to c both the old and new live performances and it hink the old 1 was way better. i hav like boosh from the start when hardly an1 knew them and now there famous they have started to become what the new audience wants them to b. I stil like them though :p

  • bullshit munchers

  • good ald Saboo quote

  • not true though, although made me laugh cause of the boosh.

  • this song is also mentioned on tundra when bainbridge says "Naboo are you in a trance?" Naboo takes out his headphones and says "no im listening to fleetwood mac"

    "Rumors?"

    "no, tusk"

then Bainbridge makes a disgusted face so it must be a reccuring joke.

  • no its only used once and u mentioned it

  • I love this version.

I marched with the USC Trojan Marching Band 1997-200. Dr. Bartner, the director on the ladder, is still there. I didn't know this video was only his 2nd or 3rd year as band director - he's about 80 now and still kicking, I mean almost literally, he's still a tartar who sends 19-year-old trumpet players on laps around the band in practice for acting up...

Dr. Tony Fox, the arranger of this song, is still with the TMB. He's gained about 100 lbs. since this video. Hi Dr. Fox

  • we play this for pep band.

and ipl2001, are you saying we should treat drug addicts like regular, honest citizens? they made the mistake of using the substance, which means any ridicule or shame that they have gained was done themselves.

  • They are people. So what if they made some mistakes, doesnt mean you should shit on them.

  • no pickford, I am not saying that we should treat them badly, but I think they should at least do some time for their addictions.obviously rehab centers dont work the best.

  • I just don't appreciate how people these days treat drug addicts. It's quite disgusting.

  • Jeez - get a sense of humor. Or do more bongs.

  • Agree - go and down a few bucket bongs or something IPL2001, or have a cookie or two - piss yourself laughing for a few hours, it'll do you good :)

  • How many lines of coke you reckon they snorted before they went out on the ground - lol :)

  • yeah, since drug abuse is so oh so hilarious

  • Who are you the fun police? Lighten up dead shit.

  • What the hell is the "Boosh"?

  • the mighty boosh.

its a tv show/ live comedy show!

in the tv series they often talk about fleetwood mac and they use this song to open their live gigs!

youtube it if ya wanna know more!!

  • omg I love the Boosh! They used this song to open the 08 gig. It was Immense! Seriously check em out!

  • omg stevie.twirling that baton..priceless!!

  • the boosh played this before they went on!

  • anyone know where to find the version of this song where fleetwood mac sings this with the muppets?

  • If you're a Mac fan. search DEAD LIKE HARRY, LEADMILL for a band you might like.

  • i've been searching for the name of this since i heard it at the boosh... finally found it :)

  • no we are not sheep lol, the reason everyones saying Boosh on this vid is because we LIKE the song and found it thu the Boosh, if we didnt like the song we wouldnt have looked for it :/

    Boosh rocks anyways! hehe X3

  • lindsey is so adorable, then and now! :)

  • WOOT! This got me so pumped up at the start of the Boosh. XD xx

  • They are awesome!!!!

Lindsey Bickingham is sooooooo Hottt! Even now that hes is like 59-61 or something he is still super hott!

  • This is an amazing song!

    MIghty Boosh :]

  • Go USC Carolina!!!! Clemson SUCKS

  • I'll take 2 of what.Stevie got going on there

  • lol every comment on here (Nearly) has the words Boosh and live in it :P Wish i got to see them :(

  • yes! finally found it!, its been driving me mad since i saw the boosh in november trying to figure out what the song was!!!!

  • yes me too- i really liked this song at the boosh!

  • Love this song

reminds me of the intro to boosh live :D

    Was immense!

  • Love it :D

Reminds me of the opening to boosh live :D

They blasted this like úber loud :/

    xx

  • So it is it? I've been looking for the song for aaaaaages! It's proper good.

The boosh live were awesome :)

  • I agree with "PinPineryy" - this was a brilliant song to open boosh live with.

Yes. It does bring back all the excitement.

    :]

  • And the english answer to this song are 'No Smoking Please...Yeah?'

    Check them out on facebook.

  • The greatest video clip of all time ! I really love Stevey Nick's energy.

This song is the English answer to Serge Gainsbourg: "Je t'aime, moi non plus" Similar cinycism and also great tempo. Bravo !

  • Wow, McVie really was a drunk, check out her perpetual wineglass.

  • this song is bum <3

  • Amazing music video.

  • check out stevie with the baton!!! is there anything she can't do!!heh..

this song is about sex.. duh.. Tusk is slang for dick, the line "Dont say that you love me, just tell me that you want me" is APPARENTLY about Mick and Stevie sleeping together just for fun, much to Lindsey's disgust and jealousy. But he agreed to record it just to prove he didnt' care about Stevie anymore...

  • It was name Tusk because the song was inspired by Mick's trip to Africa

thus the sound of the song. ;)

  • what an excellent song

  • what meaning does this song have?! tusk to me is elephants. what was lindsey thinking?! he must have been on coke?!

  • Song definitely sounds like its about people fuckin.

  • They played this before the boosh started

  • Yea it'll be because of The Party episode in Series 3. Tony Harrison is DJ'ing says he going to play Tusk "in its entirety, exactly as Lindsey Buckingham intended it to be heard" (or something like that).

  • Pahahaha GO BOOSH (:

This is a BRILLIANT song to open a show with in my opinion.

Listening to it again brings back all the excitement!

  • Lindsey harrasing stevie @ 2:54

  • I love the drumbeat on this song.

  • wutt?

  • Huh?

  • No, that's your mom, douche.

  • do not fuck with my mom you mother fucking asshole! you must be on fucking coke! i fuvcking hate you!

  • You, sir, have a fixation on "coke."

  • great song!!!!!!!

  • the reson the yanks invented marching bands was to take the audiences attention away from the so called sport they'd paid to watch!!

  • maybe so, cousin, but you have to admit its catchy. or are only americans privy my dear fellow?

  • Thats why you guys have soccer riots cause your so called football is boring.

  • English football(or soccer) is what the women would play while the men went off to war.

  • No peter, that was the invention of the University of Southern California cheerleading squad. Marching bands are fer tusk breaks.

  • love this one!

  • This song is reminiscent of noise, and that female singer looks like Carrie Fisher mixed with a gypsy. Weird band.

  • USC will beat notre dame again ...FIGHT ON

  • Ummmmmmm..... Stevie, 50 lbs. ago. ;-)

  • Can you be coked out of your mind and still be happy? I think the Tusk promo proves you can. This is one of those times that I want to be there.

  • Stevie can twirl that baton all day.......

  • I was listening to a radio special on Fleetwood Mac last night and they said this song didn't go so well OS but was top 5 in Australia.

  • stevie was asked if mick name the album tusk

for his penis and she said "you'll have to ask him". lol

  • Tusk is one of the best albums ever made... stevie nicks should be queen of the earth.

  • Peace people! All enjoy the music and don't get too stressed

  • My first concert ever and they were sooo good.

  • Wow what a band I cant see past them

  • This song reminds me of the uncontrollable excitement when i saw the mighty boosh live in october. They played this before they came on :]

    Love it

    xxx

  • Omg, they did when I went! I was at Buxton Opera House on October 3rd, and this played just before Rich Fulcher introduced it :]

  • They did at Bristol too. Love this song!

Not quite sure why the used this. Is it some kind of reference to the party episode or is that a coincidence?

  • yeah i think its a reference from the party ep, and they mention fleetwood mac in the first series as well, in Tundra. Naboo is listening to tusk, and Dixon Bainbridge asks if he's in a trance :]

    x

  • Same here in Plymouth!

  • To me it's a pleasure to listen to this song, love it.

  • Why to people feel the urge to come on here and waste valuable minutes of their lives telling everyone they don't like stuff? No one cares.

  • so don't look or fucking listen?! by the way you cannot spell! what can one except from a fucking stuipd brit!

  • Comment removed

  • I love the new and old FM. But thats not why I'm commenting. jache77 is a mental jerk off. He flips out on people who isn't living up Stevie Nicks *ass* like him. The guy is seriously crazy. He PMed me once to call me the "C- word". So you're not the only one he stalks and calls names.

  • u are obviously retarded sir.learn to use our language correctly or get your own. ;)

  • but STEVIE NICKs body IS AWESOME!!

  • Comment removed

  • Listen to it a few more times and it will grow on you.

  • Comment removed

  • I agree with you Gibson, wtf was that comment about? I love the original Fleetwood, and yes people can have their comments on here too, but seriously that one about "black rap shit" was outta nowhere! You Jache77 should get a life!

  • than why are u on this site?!

  • No, this song isn't awful, it simply appeals to a different audience from the old Peter Green FM. When Green left the band they changed style and survived, something few bands have managed following the departure of so important a member. I was listening to Green Manalishi earlier and it's awesome. But this is pretty good in its own way as well.

  • Nicee Bass!!

  • the real name of this song is UCLA sucks...

  • Good love song lyrics.

And then there was Stevie Nicks looking very vibrant and dancing around in a cute dress.

    Rock n Roll hehe.

  • holy crap, i didn't think there was a video for this song.

  • jueputa canción tan buena. !

  • "Tusk, in it's entirety, with all the pauses, as Linda Bellingham intended"

    - Tony Harrison, Board of Shaman.

  • Boosh FTW.

  • Definitely one of the better F-M songs. The reason why they filmed the video at Dodger Stadium rather than the Olympic Columnsium is because LA City parks, which owns the site, was going to charge too mcuh rent. I actually met one of the flag corp girls at an audition in 1980 and she told me this story. Stevie Nicks was a majorette in school, too.

  • excellent eccentric and unexpected single at the time.worked in the bands advantage.

  • Yeah, it is the Dodger's home park.

  • Or this stadium could be the Dodgers'...Ummm? If Tusk refers to USC then it must be a stadium here in L.A...

  • What stadium is this? I want to guess is the Los Angeles Colosseum -but I could be wrong.

  • the best...my favorite fleetwood mac album

  • This song makes me wanna get stoned i duuno y though>..>?

  • well, I'm sure Fleetwood Mac did lots of that "still" during this time... (who didn't in the '70s?)

  • Frank Zappa was pretty clean and a lot of his music was more experimental than this song. He had the extended guitar solos, the cryptic lyrics and shit...

  • at the end of the vid why is linsey pulling stevie to sit down by her dress

  • this video was the number 1 reason why i joined band so i can march to this song. never did go to USC, though. HOOK 'EM HORNS!!!

  • Oregon 27 USC 21 - TUSK !!!!!!

  • Good song. The bass line is similar to War's "Cisco Kid."

  • it was 1979 deffo

  • real savage like!!!!!

  • This wasn't 1975. It was 1979.

  • u-c-l-a Sucks!

  • you do know the marching band is from USC and NOT UCLA...right?

  • Of course he knows.

Not the point he was making ;]

  • i know i was just writing our lyrics to the song!

  • A stadium is the perfect arena for this title.

We should all have cardboard cut-outs of ourselves...yeah.

  • WOW!! still love this video. when MTV, was MTV. LOL those were the days

  • This is from 1975.

    MTV started in 1981

  • ya think! it was also a video on mtv in those days. was in reference to that.

  • Yea, i remember watching vids of this song on MTV.

  • this is from 1979 and MTV showed music videos that were out before 1980.

  • Yes, back when MTV actually played music and the original vj's . . . Nina, Mark, JJ, Martha had some style. These days, we can just call it eMpty TV!

  • Sweet Jesus, the old times !!

  • Stevie Nicks is hot!!!
