Whats up with the convo? Take that crap elsewhere... Anyways, this is a classic freakin' song... awesome. Too bad they went with USC and not UCLA, oh well... at least they filmed it at CR.
I of course chose to reject the wickedness and SOLD the offending albums and said missionaries were still able to inform me of my error. I should NOT have sought financial recompense from the sale of mine sinful records.
They hadn't even heard of any of the artists involved as I recall. (Bat out of HELL, superTRAMP, the BLACK sabbth and of course those demons of evil, the rolling STONES) The dudes, (two Mormon missionaries) simply "gazed upon my record collection" and via the power of GAWD, were able to identify the evil which dwelled therein. Thus they were able to WARN the young acolyte, my rabbity self, of the evils which were lurking under the desk.
I wasn't around for laser needles myself odly enough since I was also "on the road " at the time. But my second wife who I met around 1986 had one of them when I followed her back to her homeland a year later. She still has it and my LPs actually but we are friends. Some stuff is mine and some hers, just because we appreciate it more than the other, it is understood.
Hadn't thought of that. One day I should set up the bits and pieces I have for the old turntable (I have one of the last stages in turntable technology, I guess you knew they made laser ones at the end - no needle?) and the old amp and get out my collection of vinyl. I have only got the tamer stuff like Beatles, Beach Boys and maybe a few ACDC, still left, as I told you I was ordered by GODs minions to get rid of Black Sabbath, Meatloaf, Supertramp and Rolling Stones among others.
You gotta ask yourself why an account with so little on it as this dandee guy's, and who has evidently done very little on YT generally, is doing making such an inane and pointless remark to someone in the first place haven't you? Even if his point was the typo, why bother?
There are about a half dozen Fleetwood mac songs I like. I have very few favorites amongst artists or bands, in each case except the Beatles they are individuals only. BUT some songs simply do it by themselves. I always loved the Bass and sheer BIG sound of this number. It has "shrunken" a bit over the years, I guess life has gotten bigger, but TUSK still makes my heart beat a bit prouder. What about the Eagles?
Forgive me for suggesting this, but I think the publicity behind this video helped propel USC as being one of the finest collegiate franchises in the country. Nothing like Hollywood power baby.
Yeah me too. In fact... i'm going to book the trip now - even if i'm dead when time machines are invented they can still come back, get me, then go there, then take me back again....
i hav been to c both the old and new live performances and it hink the old 1 was way better. i hav like boosh from the start when hardly an1 knew them and now there famous they have started to become what the new audience wants them to b. I stil like them though :p
this song is also mentioned on tundra when bainbridge says "Naboo are you in a trance?" Naboo takes out his headphones and says "no im listening to fleetwood mac"
"Rumors?"
"no, tusk"
then Bainbridge makes a disgusted face so it must be a reccuring joke.
I marched with the USC Trojan Marching Band 1997-200. Dr. Bartner, the director on the ladder, is still there. I didn't know this video was only his 2nd or 3rd year as band director - he's about 80 now and still kicking, I mean almost literally, he's still a tartar who sends 19-year-old trumpet players on laps around the band in practice for acting up...
Dr. Tony Fox, the arranger of this song, is still with the TMB. He's gained about 100 lbs. since this video. Hi Dr. Fox
and ipl2001, are you saying we should treat drug addicts like regular, honest citizens? they made the mistake of using the substance, which means any ridicule or shame that they have gained was done themselves.
no pickford, I am not saying that we should treat them badly, but I think they should at least do some time for their addictions.obviously rehab centers dont work the best.
no we are not sheep lol, the reason everyones saying Boosh on this vid is because we LIKE the song and found it thu the Boosh, if we didnt like the song we wouldnt have looked for it :/
check out stevie with the baton!!! is there anything she can't do!!heh..
this song is about sex.. duh.. Tusk is slang for dick, the line "Dont say that you love me, just tell me that you want me" is APPARENTLY about Mick and Stevie sleeping together just for fun, much to Lindsey's disgust and jealousy. But he agreed to record it just to prove he didnt' care about Stevie anymore...
Yea it'll be because of The Party episode in Series 3. Tony Harrison is DJ'ing says he going to play Tusk "in its entirety, exactly as Lindsey Buckingham intended it to be heard" (or something like that).
yeah i think its a reference from the party ep, and they mention fleetwood mac in the first series as well, in Tundra. Naboo is listening to tusk, and Dixon Bainbridge asks if he's in a trance :]
I love the new and old FM. But thats not why I'm commenting. jache77 is a mental jerk off. He flips out on people who isn't living up Stevie Nicks *ass* like him. The guy is seriously crazy. He PMed me once to call me the "C- word". So you're not the only one he stalks and calls names.
I agree with you Gibson, wtf was that comment about? I love the original Fleetwood, and yes people can have their comments on here too, but seriously that one about "black rap shit" was outta nowhere! You Jache77 should get a life!
No, this song isn't awful, it simply appeals to a different audience from the old Peter Green FM.
