I always disliked the ship-design in Hellfire though - smoothly animated and all, but it lacked some of those fancy / spiky shapes a lot of other ships had back in those days.
Looks like a cool game, but I'd slit my wrists with the CD if I HAD to watch this intro every time before playing. That is one LOOOOOONG intro! Good thing they figured out how to let us skip cutscenes.
IMO, one will never find voiceovers in his own language really attractive or cool-sounding. Guess it's easier to find a language "cool" if you didn't grow talking it.
Hm, mind you, I have a lot of friends who find the english voiceovers in Warcraft III cutscenes extremely (yes, extremely) cool. Of course we are from a non-english speaking country ^^
I'm playing "mass effect" and the voice overs are very believable. If the game is originally Japanese it all depends on how much they want to spend on localization, whether or not the want to spend money on decent voice actors or not.
Interesting game. Anyway, does anybody know a great site to download english fan translations for pc-engine cd games? And where to get the tools to patch these games? If you know, please tell, I'm about googled out.
Man, one of the many shooters in my PC-E collection. This system owned in Japan. NEC really missed the boat here in the US. Thank you, Succulla, and thank you, You Tube for letting us see all these cool vg videos!
where did you get the iso and what emulator did you use?

it's a shame that the turboduo didn't do well in the states.
NEC really should have released everything a LOT earlier in north america.

When I wait at the title screen for the music to end, and the next part of the intro, I dont see it! It just starts all over again from "N E C"

Why does English voice overs to games always sound so lame and yet the Japanese ones always sound so cool?!
foxmakeba 3 years ago
...that's because Japanese/Nihongo has so much mystery to it. Way diffent and harder than English. Even the emotions are different.
Mystery make everything on earth look cool. lol Don't you agree?? lol

also, if its in a language you cant understand its probably harder to tell if the voice actors suck.
shiftyshard 2 years ago 17
Japanese voice acters don't usually.. I cant say the same for most american counterparts
YTVideosReborn 2 years ago
@shiftyshard Not really. No. If voice actor sucks you can notice it for multiple different languages.
