  • When you say floor it? Are you referring to the clutch?

  • @harlemkiid149 no, floor the accelerator and then quickly let go off the clutch

  • @MrJoker1234567 Wouldn't that kill your transmission since your supposed to start in 1st gear. So according to you Rev the car to your preferred RPMs. Release Clutch and Floor accelerator.

  • Ok so I have a all stock vw mk2 (1992) and I want to know what revs do I load it at and how fast/slow do I release the clutch

  • How hard/fast do you release the clutch? Should it be released slowly or fast? If fast wouldn't that stall the car?

  • @Forgoten214 not if you have you have high enough revs... the reason the car stalls is because the engine is spinning, the drive train isn't... and if you have no revs (meaning you dont have your engine spinning fast enough, or providing more power to your engine to keep it spinning) the drive train will simply stop the engine when the clutch is engaged, stalling your car...

  • @apexGT5

I understand, what I want to know is how do you launch it at a racetrack or something like that for a fast time. I can't exactly launch a manual very fast I need to let off the clutch slowly. But if I was at a drag strip would I be able to pop the clutch out at high revs and the car will launch rapidly or do I still need to let the clutch off slowly?

  • @Forgoten214 You need to have high revs, and you can drop the cluth (let it out all the way quickly) if you let the clutch out slowly at high revs, you will ruin your clutch, and possibly your drive train.

  • @apexGT5 well you got that wrong actually. if you let it out quickly, THAT will break your drivetrain but cause less wear on the clutch. If you let it out slowly, it will soften the blow on your drivetrain but wear the clutch out faster. Letting it out slower allows the energy to flow more smoothly into the drivetrain rather than jerking it and causing high stress. I'd rather pay for a new clutch every now and then than a new driveshaft/u-joint assembly/rear end

  • a lot of cars can do 60 on 2nd gear. my 06 kia does it lol not good for it tho

  • thanks, off to destroy my legacy now! :D

  • lol my wrx does 0-60 in 4.9... oh the powers of mild tuning and AWD

  • @Roesch03WRX I have an 02 wagon, I can only do 5.4, only have a catback and uppipe.

  • @Imakeplanesboom up/down pipe, cobb stage 2 tune, intake, wagon suspension swap, short throw. exhaust. n my fav... HELLA horns

  • 0-60 in about 6.5 seconds, thats not weak at all!

  • 60mph in 2nd gear!

  • @shanedraper240692 My 5 speed cobalt LS does 60 in second, well closer to 59 lol. And my old Grand Am would do 80 in second, though it was a 4 speed auto

  • scooby is filming

  • @dustin1193 what?

  • automatics are for bitches

  • @bobcow384 Bitch but proud.

  • @bobcow384 bitches are awsome

  • @Jakethysnake93 you can't unless your car is equipped with it. And unless your car is a sports car with a flappy panel gearbox then you probably can't. Do NOT put an automatic car in neutral rev the engine then put the car in drive you WILL destroy the car

  • @Blixerz You "power break" and automatic.

  • @Blixerz lol i did that with my old saturn, that thing was a champ

  • so how do you launch an automatic?

  • @Jakethysnake93 Simply hold your left foot on the brake and bring your rpms up a little but not so much that the rear wheels spin. Then release the brake quickly and give it as much throttle as you can. You might have to feather the throttle depending on how much power/traction you have.

  • i want to see somebody rev that sumbitch to the the top and slip the clutch in until the tires spin. btw? whose clutch is more expensive than tires?

  • Comment removed

  • Oh man, you're sexy ;DD

    Nice video man!

  • it is better just to quickly remove your foot of the clutch, as it is in this video, because if you keep the clutch at it's friction point and rev hard, the clutch will most likely burn up if it's an older car. Sure there is wheelspin, but it is better (cheaper) to burn your tires a little bit than to destroy your clutch.

  • Im kind of a newbie at driving standard..just wondering, this is obviously bad for your clutch since your holding the gas and the clutch down at the same time right?

  • @lovbinfr3sh yup, when u are in gear and the clutch is in and u r revving/ giving gas u are burning the clutch, which is bad for it, but the idea here is to not burn ur clutch for too long, spin tires more than burn clutch because tires are cheaper than a clutch replacement.

  • @speacialperson12345 bro, when the clutch is depressed the actual clutch is not touching anything. the thing that damage your clutch is when you release it at high rpms causing the clutch material to experience more stress. please educate yourself before you try to state fact.

  • @jaykobhanna in the month that this comment has been on here, i know that, because once the car gets to the friction point and you touch the gas there, that is the part where you burn your clutch, and when u dump/drop the clutch at higher RPM's (like way too high) and want to powerbrake you risk burning your clutch disc, if applying too much throttle. This has been on plenty of videos, especially where people drop the clutch and end up exploding their clutch.

  • nice

  • what happens when your car gets smashed but a woman???
