i love my zune and i dont give a crap if its lack of games and apps.i bought this to enjoy my mp3 files in hiqh quality sound not to play games.if i filled the zune with games then there wouldnt be a room for lots of albums to put and videos so whats the point of having and mp3 player and have to listen the same albums again and again.this is a media player and it does good what it does play music.

ipod is good 4 games but the s quality sux.so ZUNE FOREVER

They should release more games and add a clip on controller to make it a portable xbox and compete with the upcomming Nintendo 3DS which has similier 128 bit graphics.

Don't forget that the Zune does NOT have an external speaker which means if you want to listen to this game you have to use your headphones. The Ipod Touch can play games either with earphones or without them, because, unlike the Zune, it has an actual external speaker, and Need For Speed is a much better racing game than Project Gotham Racing.

Need for Speed looks a thousand times better on the Ipod Touch than PGR does on the Zune. I have played both and I prefer Need for Speed overall. Plus, the Ipod Touch also has other great games such as Call of Duty as well!

I have a ZuneHD and it is so glitchy. when i try to listen to my music it turn the volume down by its self or when im browsing my zune it just goes crazy and hit stuff i didnt ask it to. if anybody else is getting these problem plz PM me so know im not the only one.

i hate being locked into my ipod touch for apps :( , my friend mike has a zune HD i told him to buy it and the one game he had on it was audio surf which i have for the PC . I wouldn't give it back to him XD such an impressive device

Does that audiosurf game let you use your own music? Because if it does that shows you just another example of what you can do on zune, iphone devs aren't granted access to the phones music among other things.

Hmmm...while I'm convinced that in the right hands, the iPhone and iPod Touch are capable of killing the handheld gaming industry, I'm not convinced with this. First off, the iPhone handles much better graphics, and also is able to maintain a smooth framerate. Second, the controls don't seem as responsive. Third, Apple had over 100 games available in the App Store at launch, and it doesn't seem like companies are as eager to put games on the Zune HD.

good points. Apple does have more games. Microsoft hasn't opened the apps SDK to developers so everything is in house. I think the Zune HD has better graphics because of the Tegra chip. Unless the Zune HD is opened up to third parties, it's going to lay low

Yeah, I think that's a major contributing factor. I honestly have yet to see games with better graphics. Don't get me wrong, Bowling especially looked nice. It's just I've seen games on the iPhone and iPod Touch that look much better. To name a few:

1. Asphalt GT 5

2. Modern Combat: Sandstorm

3. Dungeon Hunter

4. Kroll

5. Dexter: The Game

Those games feature great graphics AND a smooth framerate. You should check them out.

that's true. I have tried some games on both iphone and zune hd and framerate is about the same. Guess we'll have to wait and see if Microsoft releases any other games to rival the iPhone. All in all, competition is good

Iphone doesnt have better graphics. zune hd has some pretty high textures and pretty good reflections. and it also has (mostly) good fps. and the conrtols are responsive. but microsoft is fucking up on the apps by not having a sdk for the 3d shit and not having a app store liek apple does,

Honestly, how long do you think companies are going to put out free games? And yes, I believe if the iPod keeps going in the directing that it is, it can really hurt the handheld industry (I'm not the only one saying this). Games these days have you spending $40+ on games that last for about ten hours. Apple offers five hour long games for $1-$10. Seriously, play the games I mentioned before and then let me know how they are.

I don't know what you're talking about. I was playing a game (Top Gun) on my friend's ipod touch today, and it lagged like crazy at certain parts. The Zune definitely has better graphics. Plus, it uses an OLED screen which the ipod touch does NOT have.
