  • yay i found out i have the begginings lol still typing...

  • Damn, that sucks. I play guitar, drums, bass and keyboard. My hands are fucked!

  • @asecretninja :

I'm not sure what your comment is directed at, but Handmaster Plus is not only directed towards the fear of developing CTS and other RSI injuries & conditions. It is also used to maximize performance and maintain proper blood flow to the tissues and joint surfaces of the hands, wrists & elbows. BTW, these RSI problems usually don't show themselves immediately, but when thdo they can be chronic and debilitating.

  • So if the back of my hand started to hurt when I started to playing guitar faster, that's carpal tunnel syndrome? And will this Hand Master Plus take the pain away completely? Thanks!

  • @punkangle399 : Carpal tunnel syndrome is indicated by median nerve compression at the carpal tunnel (the front of the wrist) causing pain and or weakness and numbness to the thumb and 3 1/2 fingers beside the thumb. What you may be experiencing is tendonitis because when you play fast the muscles at the back of the wrist have to stabilize and can be put at stress. Hard to tell without examining, but not CTS symptoms.

  • thank you for the video i at least know i dont have carpaunnel syndrome, i can move my fingers and stuff without pain and i have no pain in my neck. i think its safe to say i just need to give my hand a rest.

  • @Pjake7 : To be clear, carpal tunnel syndrome has nothing to do with the neck. The video comments that the median nerve path (the nerve involved in carpal tunnel) can be affected at the neck. Carpal tunnel syndrome occurs at the wrist (carpal tunnel pressure) and can display all or some of the following symptoms: Weakness, numbness & pain in the hand. The pattern of numbness or paresthesia helps in the diagnosis. The final diagnosis can only be confirmed by nerve conduction testing.

  • a wild KEYBOARD appears! wild KEYBOARD uses carpal tunnel! carpal tunnel is super effective!

  • i work vacuuming, cleaning windows, sweeping and mopping and putting bar stools on tables and putting back down, i been working like this for 2 months and i started with pain in my hands now my finger tips get numb, what can i do is it bad to keep working when i know the job is making me sick? please help!!!!

  • @mr9chris : Unfortunately I can not give you advice in such a case as I cannot examine you. Please see a qualified health care professional for direction.

  • @doczac thanks.

  • i can feel pressure at the back part of my neck.....

i searched google and found out that neck pain is

a symptom of carpal tunnel syndrome.........

i obviously got carpal tunnel cause its very hard to move my fingers..

    what should i do?

    listen to michael jackson songs?

  • @magicianmunar you could try listening to MJ but I doubt that's help a lot. LOL.

Seriously though, you could try a self-treatment kit for carpal tunnel syndrome. Visit my channel for details. or watch?v=Gr1u_xgrc30

  • @magicianmunar

carpal tunnel syndrome occurs at the carpal tunnel itself (wrist). The median nerve may be affecting through out its entire length from neck to fingers. If you are having neck pain, please see a health care professional, especially a trusted chiropractor.

  • @magicianmunar seek a medical help

  • i have a situation, on my left hand my thumb, middle finger and the finger in between are all numb from like mid finger on up to the tips of the fingers and ive been told it's the start of carpal tunnel, is it?

  • Hey guys, I found this pretty good article about Carpal Tunnel Syndrome and it really helped out my friend a lot. Check it out:

  • hey, so i have had a very weak grip for years and years now and commonly have tingling on my fingers, pain on the outside of my hand along my arm and up to my pinky, shoulder and neck pain ect. I am a music student who plays the saxophone for about 4 hours a day or more and then I come home and work on my computer all night. I am wearing braces at night but should i be wearing them more often? It seems to b helping but should I see a doctor about this?

  • Hello, I have an aching wrist. It is often swollen, especially after lifting, squeezing, or even just doing small things with my hands. It's even starting to go a bit sore just from typing this. I have been playing the drums for several years, but haven't noticed any pain, discomfort or swelling until i went for a lengthy kayak at the start of this year. What do you think this could be?

    Thanks.

  • @stefstuf2 oh. and my wrist clicks super easy. and it quite often relieves a bit of pain temporarily when i click it. I'm guessing this is doing more damage?

And I click my fingers too(although I am trying to stop.). Would this be causing wrist pain too? I was talking to someone who said that having a tense back cab=n cause mega pain in the wrist. Is this true? Because I have a sore back too.

  • My wrist has been stiff for years, but I feel no pain. My flexor muscles are really tight, and I can't stretch my wrist out to hold a waiter's tray or do push ups. What could it be?

  • @DwyaneWadeCounty

It appears that you have developed a common imbalance: flexors muscles of the fingers and wrist dominating the extensors. This is common in many muscles group areas (i.e. hip flexors/extensors - slouching). It is the reason we developed Handmaster Plus (search via Google). I highly suggest the same thing I recommend to all readers. Balnace the hand & wrist muscles NOW to prevent performance problems & injury potential in the future.

  • im working at electronics company and my job is too heavy i do that job everyday... i felt the numbness of my hand before bt i ignored it then lately i wondered that evry now and then i feel the numness, aches, and tinggling of my hand so i decided to see a doctor and so the doctor said that i have a carpal tunnel syndrome bt i think it was just a mild syndrome so the doctor advice me to have the therapy....bt is it advisable to take the therapy and yet still working at my job?

  • @06nylra

    Thanks for your Q.

This is a question you must ask your therapist. They must examine you and then advise whether it is best to continue work during therapy or not.

  • i've been playing the electric guitar for 2 years now.i play an average of 1-2 hours a day.i don't think i play that much as i'm a student and i don't have the time.. but my left forearm aches and so does my right upper arm (tricep).it aches after i play the guitar around the left elbow, forearm and even my thumb sometimes.but it doesn't hurt at the same place every time.it's kinda random.do i have CTS, tennis elbow or tendonitis??i'm worried but i haven't been playing guitar very long.

  • @Nipon76

Sounds like isolated tendonitis due to core imbalance - can lead to CTS &/or TE. Handmaster Plus strengthens & balances the muscles of the fingers & wrist - key components of finger thumb, wrist, forearm & elbow strength/stability. When hand/wrist muscles are balanced, injury to the hand, wrist, forearm & elbow are highly unlikely. Before using Handmaster Plus, ask your health care pro if you are ready for rehabilitation exercises.

  • @doczac thanks doc..

  • Is it keyboarding or using the mouse that causes CTS? I've been seeing conflicting info on the internet. I type a lot since I'm a college student and recently, my fingers have been hurting with some slight/mild tingling but no numbness. My wrists ache occastionally too.

    Thanks for the informative video!

  • @purpleshamrock17 :

CTS has been related to both. Any regularly activity where the fingers go through small ROM actions can lead to shortened finger flexor muscles, poor blood flow and imbalance, thus CTS. We developed Handmaster Plus as an easy and affordable way to offset these types of daily activities, keep you healthy and prevent CTS, tennis elbow and other common related conditions.

  • I pretty much type on my computer evrey day, and think I have carpal tunnel. Though the pain is lower on my wrist, and is actually swelling up. Information?

  • I have a unique case of CTS and Cubital as well which caused a severe muscle atrophy. (I was discharged from the Army because of it) I don't know when or how it was caused but I had the corrective surgery and it's 11 months later and haven't seen any significant increase in strength. I am only 26. I use a computer for work. I can't even work out or do simple tasks (turning a door knob) and I'm so stressed out from it. Do you think this would be the best avenue for me to take at this point?

  • I used my computer everyday and my right hand is feeling numb. Especially my right pinky. It feels kind of numb, but i can still move it. Do i have cts?

  • @VieTxShyT :

CTS affects the pinky, ring, middle, and 1/2 of the index finger. It is possible that you are developing CTS. I suggest that u visit ur health care professional for an examination. Handmaster Plus was developed to prevent CTS. Computer users should be using Handmster Plus to prevent repetitive stress injuries.

  • hey there.. my hand has a gauze since yesterday..its because the muscles in my arms are like havng muscled pain, and it seems that i cant barely close my hands tight..and whenever i used it..my hand are like you know hurting..is that mean i have a carpal tunnel syndrome?if yes..that what can i do to prevent it from worsening? please i need you answer quick..

  • It is impossible to advise you properly without an examination. What I can tell you is that pain is one of the symptoms of carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS); the other are numbness (in pinky, ring, middle fingers) & weakness. Hand pain is common in musicians, as is CTS, tennis elbow & extensor tendinitis, all preventable with regular Handmaster Plus use (for rebalancing muscles). People must be OK'ed to use Handmaster Plus by a health care professional, especially in injury.

  • well yeah sometimes i felt numb too & very weak..and im a musician...i play drums and guitars...but how would you know if your CTS is worst or worse? i mean like if you reach the level that you need to have a surgery?

  • I am a part time cartguy at Pathmark so I'm always using my hands every day and gripping the wagons is not that easy sometimes.

  • HTM:

I highly recommend Handmaster Plus exercise for anyone who regularly depends on repetitive gripping for their day job, sport or hobby. It reduces the risk RSI injury and absenteeism greatly and improves performance. I have seen so many many needless injury simply due to lack of proper training.

  • Will Carpal Tunnel Syndrome affect me later in life like in my 40's 0r 50's?

  • Hello from the Netherlands,

I have Carpal Tunnel Syndrom and just received the injections, I really hope this will work because i really do not want any surgery, I have it in both hands, my question for you is, if these injections do not work are there any other options for me? Brace also did not work.

    Greetings Bernadette

  • Have you consulted a therapist who does direct soft tissue therapy (or specializes in CTS therapy). The combination of specific CTS soft tissue therapy & proper rehabilitation exercises (Handmaster Plus addresses the inherent muscle imbalances that are almost always involved; as well, HM+ maximizes circulation which is often a problem in CTS cases) is often successful in CTS.

    Good luck!

  • Doc great videos, thanks for posting

  • Hi could you help me out? My wrist just feels rather numb and weak, I do not have as much strength in my hands anymore. I play guitar quite often, and use a computer keyboard and mouse a lot. I'm 15. I couldn't open a juice bottle today, couldn't grip properly. Could I have carpal tunnel syndrome, and can it go away?

  • I say lay off the wrist and get a girl lol. no it's just that you had a large amount of a chemical use to simulate pain and numb the wrist

  • what I did was went to the doctor and he suggested a wrist gauntlet for my carpal tunnel. He says to use it at night and take it off in the morning.

  • one more question,Can I use those squeeze balls for wrist excersize?

  • No, the muscles that close the fingers are already weaker than the muscles that open them. Squeezing will make it worse.

  • I HAVE ANOTHER QUESTION,wOULD THESE BUMPS GO AWAY

  • Hi howardtheman:

Unfortunately, it is imopossible to comment on the bumps as I can not examine you. The best suggestion is to adopt as healthy of habits as possible exercise-, diet-, stress-wise and see what happens. Otherwise it is wise to be examined by a health care professional.

  • I have 2 small bumps on the side of my right arm could this be caused by CPS?

  • Hi Howard:

CTS refers to only an alteraition of the mediam nerve. It does indicate the presence of overuse, imbalance or poor circulation, which may be connected to your bumps. Have them checked out by your health care provider.

  • My hands have been very sore for about a week now and my fingers throb sometimes. Do u think i mite have CTS?

  • also i have bought a handmaster plus and have been using it (before the problem i mentioned arrived). just wanted to know if what i have is carpal tunnel is it cureable or will this always now be a problem for my guitar playing?

  • Technically, CTS is suspected when wrist pain, numbness or weakness is noticed. Tap the front of the wrist (bottom of thumb pad). If tapping causes numbness, you may have CTS. Refer to a healthcare professional for examination.

Use Handmaster Plus or other exercise only if comfortable and only if cleared by your health care professional. When applicable, it will rebalance the muscles and maximize blood flow. Please tell musician friends to train now for prevention of these types of injury.

  • I went to a chiropractor/physiotherapist and he said that its not CTS and i have just over worked my hands and hurt my wrists typing in an awkward position. I really hope hes right. I must say that the pain has gone down a lot since my last comment but it stills feel weak and awkward when bending.

  • hey please help me, I play guitar and have been experiencing very sore, stiff fingers in the morning they then warm up a bit and feel a little better but my wrist feels weak and numb and when i form a fist the wrist seems to swell up and feel tense. any ideas what is wrong?

  • I had a really bad sprained wrist. i had a bone scan that showed abnormalities in my hamate, triquetrum, and the base of my fifth meta carpal. A ct scan showed nothing wrong. Would you recomend this for me. i want to lift weights and box again. My hand feels alot better except my ulnar bone doesnt feel correct, like the angles off where my elbow ends.

  • I have tingling sensations for the past 29 hours stright, in my fist three FINGERTIPS, starting at my thumb.

Do you know why? I have a sprained wrist right now, and how I can get rid of this tingling numb sensation? Thanks alot!

  • great video!!!!

    learned alot

couldnt you just use a rubber band that wasnt real tight?

    just a question thx

  • Great Q:

Elastic bands do not allow the hand to fully open without slipping. They used to frustrtae me in practice, so I developed Handmaster Plus. Now it is easy to train all 18 hand muscles through a full natural range of motion.

  • Hi m3andmyb0w:

Unfortunately, there is not much I can do. Your Dr. has the call. I can say that we receive tingling and numbness comments regularly from gamers (due to repetitive gripping/flexion), but it is your Dr.'s decision whether this would require missing school to correct. Either way, you should see a therapist who works with upper extremity injuries and rehabs addressing rebalancing the finger muscles and stimulates blood flow. Our Handmaster Plus is the common choice.

  • Hi ureonmyhitlist:

Thanks for the q. I am the developer of Handmaster Plus, and your comment is very interesting and intuitive. In practise, I used to use rubber bands for finger and thumb extension. The problem is that the rubber bands would slip easily before the fingers and thumb were through full ranges of motion. Developing Handmaster Plus allowed me to strengthen patients through full ROM's, and couple many exercises into 1 (flex + extend), ensuring compliance and ease.

  • im an online gamer and im feeling numbness and tingling and...my doc dosnt belive me and thought i was just wanting to get out of school...what should i do?

  • That's my problem exactly. Too much Halo, and lately my hand has been killing me. I'm getting to the point, I can't even pick up an Xbox conttroller. I couldn't even play last night.

  • Hi meatwizard:

Thank you for your question. Our company had a poor container of Handmaster Plus cords aproximately 3 years ago. This is the batch that you have probably have heard a review from. We have since changed our material & QC to use a USA elastomere (GLS USA) to make super-durable, consistent & yet comfortable cords. We work hard to be the #1 hand exerciser on the market. Staisfaction is our primary concern. The current cords are all new design & warranteed (3 months)

    Best,

  • thanks doczac. i will order one very soon. It seems like a really cool product.

  • I heard the cords break easily. Do they?

I'd like to buy one, but...

  • I have been to my doctor for CTS who gave me a splint to wear at night since I have tingling and numbness while I sleep I now also start feeling this after I hold something like a phone or steering wheel for a short period of time, I want to try and avoid surgery and want to try some PT before I go down that road any advice or will your product help in my case as it seems I have CTS mild- sever.

  • I ordered the product and am wondering how many days should I be exercising my wrist/hand? Also, how many repetitions should I be doing. I'm recovering from tendonitis in my wrist. I saw a physical therapist whom recommended that I start a rehabilitation regiment contingent upon my pain tolerance.

Thank you in advance for replying!

  • Hi banglizette:

Thanks for your question. Handmaster Plus use will stimulate natural muscle tone, balance & blood flow (all important factors to healing properly). It is difficult to comment on individual cases, as all should be treated as unique. Your therapist must determine a rehab schedule. Use Handmaster Plus until comfortable fatigue only (usually less than 1 minute), never into pain, 1-3 times per day max. Never overuse, always consult a therapist during rehabilitation.

    doczac
