  • Valerie is cool. I used to have a really big crush on her. Roger Jewell but it sounds like she got married to a really nice guy or maybe that's just a rumor.????

  • Tooo bad Val Ed the ultimate loser drove you to it instead of supporting you How coul;d you live with a fuck up like that & not. Shows how much he gives a shit about anything. FUCKING Idiot weakling & that is what he is, there is no doubt about it.

  • I don't know who this woman is, but she comes across as undignified and basically a loud mouth.

  • @qpsklo You are absolutely right, she really did. She was also in denial about her addictions. She overate to self soothe but flat out denied this idea saying that she has to eat, it's not like she can just stop. I didn't really get the impression that Shatner found her endearing either, much can be said in the reflection of his eyes.

  • Why are people still fascinated by Bertinelli? She hasnt been in any TV movies or shows for years! Ever since she divorced Eddie Van Halen, she's been yapping non-stop about her weight and nothing else. She seems very unintelligent and extremely BORING. Wish she would just go away already.

  • I enjoy this conversation because of Ms.Bertinelli..not because

    of Mr.Shatner's interviewing skills.

  • some of these of her with shat are gone

  • Bill, I am a big fan. I would like to talk about Crohn's Diesease, which is whatr my wife died of..

  • yes it was very very wrong and i will never forget that night.

  • Is it just me, or does Bill Shatner look like Valerie? She looks like she could be his daughter. Same facial characteristics, same build (pudgy), etc.? Hmmm...I wonder if he knew Valerie's mother?

  • They're both getting old, so they look alike.

  • Don't be rude. And no I don't think so

  • two TV celebrities ive grown up with and enjoyed for a long time. i just love valerie. shatner is a classic.

  • That's pretty mild, a bit edgy but mild.

  • William Shatner is really a good interviewer. I didn't expect that. He is wonderful.

  • i would like to sin with valerie

  • Usually, I find modern interviewers annoyingly centered more on themselves than their guests, but Shatner's style, though talky, has a way of coaxing the real personalities out of his guests.

  • Shatner is a very intelligent guy with a very curious mind. He may seem or be really self-centered and egotistical, but aren't most people? I like the idea of "Raw Nerve" though I am not so sure you can do psychoanalysis on demand for a TV show, it is interesting to see at least an attempt to be real. It's pretty daring.

  • He is very good as an interviewer. He seems able to reach into his subject's soul, and enable them to talk openly to him, as though he and they were in the only people in the room.

  • Actors, people. A C T O R S .

  • HOLY CRAP, I can't believe Bill got her to admitt that!!!!!

  • It's interesting for a long time tv/movie personality to become a talk show host because Shatner doesn't really fit that mold.

He's not a typical career talk show host, so he doesn't have to put up some kind of act. He can just be himself and the stars can really open up as if they are just talking to someone that can relate to them on some level. It's a great idea for a talk show.

  • This is just old school talk show style.

YouTube "Bruce Lee interview" or some other old interview and you'll see a real conversation instead of a movie promotion wrapped in a fake conversation.

  • good on her for being honest

  • Shatner seems shocked by hearing that adultery is wrong.

  • I think he's disappointed she wasn't his neighbor when she was "in her 20's".

  • @Adom Oh but you missed the point - it was her neighbor she committed adultory with ;)

  • @BaldingEagle51 I can't be sure, because the comment is so old, but I think that was my point.

  • While there is an element of TMI here, nevertheless, to find someone who'll actually admit to some "past" in the public eye and who seems to have actually learned from it is refreshing. And Val, you're STILL a hottie!

  • Wow, that was an astonishing confession.

  • In addition, sometimes I think David Lee Roth talks too much and sees himself as the ONLY member of Van Halen, sometimes speaking for the entire band like he is the only one who matters, but when he says things like she was the Yoko to EVH's John Lennon, seems he was right. Sad....... Least he got his (EVH) then dropped the woman before it was too late.

  • Damn I dont know what the hell Valerie Bertinelli's problem was this interview. Sheesh. Shatner is so nice. A real people's celebrity and this slut goes and lashes at him. He's old enough to be his father. He invited her to be on the show out of the kindness of his own heart and she just lashes out at him. You'd think she'd have more respect towards her elders. Pssh she probably got all big headed just cuz she had EVH at a point and had his baby. But hes fat and ugly like her. Well sorta. haha

  • For those of you out there who find it necessary to lash out at this human being well your either very young and have no clue or your just plain hearless. Regardless who she is you only have these opinions because shes in the public eye. All of us have insecurities only the brave ones come out and talk about it.

Bravo for her just saying im human and have made some mistakes and anyone can get past it like i did. Judge not....By the way she doesnt need a man to feel secure....

  • I am tired of her always saying in interviews she comminted adultry. who gives a flying fek!

The fact is.... nobody finds her sexualy attractive now or interesting, so she has to yap about her 'wild past' for feks sake val.. take your hormones for menopause and act your age you old bag.

  • Comment removed

  • Man, I didnt realize she was such a psycho.........a carpet-munching adulterer and a fat druggie.........I feel bad for Wolfie........I can see why David Lee Roth never wanted her around Van Halen!

  • David Lee Roth was right.

  • Valerie Bertinelli is a foolis woman

  • Valerie seems like a snitty little bitch.

  • She only seems that way because she's incredibly nervous on sets.

  • valerie was and is a beautiful gal but without the security of van halen i'm not sure how far she'll go.she seems to be really insecure without him

  • That is the first time (see video end) that I have ever seen William Shatner be SPEECHLESS!

  • Great interview! Please click on my link and watch my main video of Frostie The Bare-Eyed Cockatoo dancing to The Blues Brothers Shake Your Tail Feather! You'll laugh your butt off! Then please share it with everybody you can! Frostie is going to be famous! Just watch and see! Thanks!

  • Mr. Shatner, I like the Yin-Yang arrangement of the interview chairs.

  • Valerie Bertinelli was just on "The Doctors" she said she went without sex for 8 years! Valerie said Eddie & she cheated on each other; lol Dude; boog; she's like that weird and whacked out during the entire show, blurting out laughs and talking bout her boyfriend's vasectomy and grabbing Astroglide off the countertop-that's what I thought when she was on the show Friday 2/6/09

  • Dated the rocker, did drugs, fucked around, got fat, got skinny, Catholic maybe going to hell "to have fun", like Oprah - will probably pork out again--- shit Eddie, I woulda dumped her too..

  • holy shit!!!!! val cheated on ed!!!!

thats totally a bullet coming out of nowhere for me whattttt. i mean its their personal lives but wow does anyone else think thats shocking?

  • man invented marraige, so that the cave man living next door kept his paws off..

unfortunatly for Val,.she's trippin big time!.

  • Best wishes Mr Shatner on your talk show project. You are a real character, and fun. People obviously are going to open up to you when interviewed...wow....

Not sure which character I like best-Kirk or Denny Crane.....love both of them....You are Star Trek and you ARE Boston Legal....Funny how both characters chase women!Enjoy your life and best of wishes....

  • The first step to recovery is admission. I cant stand it when people cheat on their spouses but I am pleased to see the woman feels deeply about what she did. Divorce is not the answer. Most of my writings are about the recovery of a destroyed marriage by way of adultery....

  • weirdest video i've ever seen, find:

    Adam Sandler Dog Police

  • i like this show

  • What's up with the chair placement?

  • typical scripted hollywood hype show,,just like so called 'reality' shows,,rich making money off of dumb poor people because the poor think this is real,,

  • Dang.. I don't get the Biography Channel

  • I saw William Shatner on the Regis & Kelly show recently, and he was absolutely HILARIOUS! I've been telling my husband about it and wish I had taped it! Anybody know where I can find it online??? As for Raw Nerve I am SO going to tune in!

  • . . . yawn . . . she's getting boring . . .

  • Damn... Shatner's a pretty young 77 isn't he? I mean, God, he's five years older than John McCain and all we all knew (and joked about) how McCain looked like a walking dead man when he was running alot of the time, but Shatner looks more like he's in his mid to late 60s... I wouldn't be surprised if he lived to be 90 or more...

  • @SirBroadsword -Hey idiot. I don't think Shatner spent many of his prime years in a rat infested POW camo, where his arms were broken by the North Vietnamese. Ass hole

  • Wow, did I actually hear someone acknowledge her past bad behavior and say she'd done wrong and had no excuses? No twinkie defense? No rehab? Just accepting personal responsibility and lamenting personal shortcomings? Goading herself to be better tomorrow than she was yesterday? That can't be what I heard! Is this some sort of a joke?

  • It's almost sacrelige, isn't it.

  • Yea, but at the same time she thinks she'll "go to Hell & have a really good time"...boy is she in for a big suprise. I really feel sorry for people who think that hell is some kinda party.

  • Boy, do I feel sorry for people who are scared of going to imaginary places.

  • I really feel sorry for people who think hell is real.

  • I hate to tell you this but you're in for a BIG suprise then.

  • Yes, yes...go back to reading your fairy tales.

  • Yeah Valerie-You just admitted to a sin committed by the majority of the people in this country and this world.....For those who disagree...look at the estimated numbers of people who have cheated. Sad statement on marriage, but marriage is not about faults. It is about family, working and living out your lives together and loving each other. Real love.

  • I'd hit it.

  • William Shatner gives great interviews. Dude seriously needs to have his own talk show on a major network on prime time.

  • I still love Valerie Bertinelli!! And Bill in'nt so bad.

  • Strange hair arrangement.

  • Strange chair arrangement.

  • William Shatner is entertaining no matter what he does. He kind of reminds me of my (late) father too.

  • It would be great if we could see Raw Nerve in the UK. But I guess that's too much to hope for. Anyway, Good luck with the series Mr Shatner. :)

  • mr.shatner, great job! You have mastered the art of listening to the response to your question. Not an easy thing to do! Bravo!

  • I missed it. Couldn't stay up that late. I need TeVo. :(

  • I watched both episodes last night and I'm hooked! Great job Mr. Shatner and looking forward to more episodes!

  • I LOVED the Tim Allen interview on raw nerve last night! Thank you Mr.Shatner.

  • Wow, I had no idea that William Shatner would be such a fantastic talk show host. Congrats!

  • I rather see/hear Valerie´s (former?) hubby (Eddie Van Halen), being interviewed...he´s a much more relevant show business person than her...

  • awesome BRO! YOU ROCK!

  • Your video made it into POPTUB DAILY! Can you dig it? You can watch it our channel now and remember to subscribe!

  • Shes the good kind of catholic...not crazy and down to earth...just as black jesus would have wanted

  • Valerie looks like she'd rather be someplace else :)

  • I have a hard time watching William Shatner as a talk show host?

  • Looks really good. I tried to tune it in, only to find we don't have Biography Channel available! Darn!

  • Kirk dresses smart.

  • Mr Shatner to you.

  • This is gonna be one hell of a show. I hope Bill can hold back just a little, though. He won't be able to be a good interviewer if succumbs to his urge to take over. good interviewer has to step aside a little, and that ain't him. He's more the center stage type.

  • Damn it, Bill. You've always had a way with the women. Share the wealth. I'm just messing with you, but I wish that Valerie Bertinelli would tell me that I'm "so sexy" when I say something. Haha. Great show so far. I was at work when the first airing was on, but I'm catching the 2AM encore. You're a legend, and you keep on rolling on. Good for you!

  • shes has always been hott!!!

  • If you're catholic... you must be perfect... or you're no longer catholic...

  • I need to get the biography channel.

  • Shatner is one of the most under-appreciated actors of all time.

  • Great conversation. you are so very insightful!

  • I Only wish I could see this show in the UK. Thanks for the tubing Bill

  • Now this is an interview I would like to see more of, Bill. Great teaser! :)

  • Shat +1. :]

  • Mr. Shatner, you are amazing. You are one Star who could have been typecast and you show all the others how not to remain typecast. All the hard work has paid off for you. Your daughters are great and your wife. Most of all I do love all that you've done. One of my favorite all time scenes is when you played on the Fresh Prince. Classic.

  • New show, huh? Well, you do have that sort of appeal when talking to and being talked to by people.

  • Excellent Preview Will. 10* Stars! =)

  • She's cute. She's one of those ageless people. Love the Raw Nerve set and atmosphere. Will tune in.

  • William Shatner is awesome, and so is Valerie Bertinelli. What more can I say? I need to see that interview!

  • wow lol

    Excellent facial expressions!

  • You are naturally funny, a quality alot people relate to. You can ease people into telling the truth. This is a great format for you.

  • When this video was in my subscription box, I only saw, "William Shatner on Ac" and I SO hoped the ac was for acid!

  • Good job embracing new technology.

  • i like the casualness of the interview, both people look relaxed

  • The seat arrangement makes him lean on the armrest, bunching up his jacket like that. Chaise lounges, next?

  • BURN THE WITCH!

  • That's impressive. She admitted adultery without trying to make excuses for herself, admitting it was wrong. Accountability is not something you see often these days.

  • Did Stevie Wonder set up the chairs?

  • Bill looked silly with his jacket riding up like that. Is it possible he (or anyone else on the set) didn't notice that and said something to him about it? Geez!

  • Luv the expression Bill ... it's like

'you committed adultery, but not with me? damn'

  • Valerie Bertinelli is a fox!

Jim, did Sulu pick out that shirt and tie?

  • I like the seat arrangement,it's one on one.

  • She has pretty hair.

  • I love Him and her Valerie is awesome!

  • Raw Nerve

    Can we see more please?

    Thank you.

  • It looked like Mr. Shattner wasn't expecting her to say something like that at all. xD

    His expression was priceless.

More of an "Oh, wow, I meant that as more of a conversation go-er, but okay, that's a bit serious, let's roll with it" sort of look.

    Great recovery, though, Mr. Shattner.

  • Looks good Bill! Hope you and your family had a great Thanksgiving!

  • Shatner got to kiss Lt. Uhura in Star Trek!

    Sweet gig!

  • what's with the funky ass seat arrangement.

  • Well done! Another entertaining and informative video from you, sir.

  • wow she is going 2 hell and have a great time

  • I wonder WHO she cheated with? Anyone know??

  • Wow! ....I mean, WOW!

I guess a guy who has been interviewed by the best and the worst would really know how to get to heart of an interview.

Just when I thought Mr. S has run out of ways to impress me, here I sit, impressed.

  • hope to see your show. don't no if i get that channel.

  • I think you'd be right...

  • For sure , the Man is stepping into Johny Carsons shoes ! Jay Leno was okay ! But Bill is the Jock !

  • Shatner is punk.

  • Its amazing how horrible religion is getting. A catholic person saying "ill go to hell and have a good time"

  • she's very assertive, makes me wanna see her dance also :P

  • wow cant wait to see that!

  • When I was watching the commercials for this, it is obvious that celebrities just open up and feel safe with Shatner. I am totally looking forward to watching these. I wouldnt be surprised if this shows gets huge ratings. ~Raven

  • Wow, that little tidbit actually really intrigued me. I think i'll watch it now !

  • Good interview, Mr. Shatner.

  • Married girls do more stuff.

Stuff you wouldn't believe. They're like caged animals.

  • no longer available in high quality

  • She shouldn't feel guilty for something that happened so long ago, God forgives!

  • ralfonzo83 - you are absolutely right!

  • Valerie - Everyone sins.

    Shatner you rock.

  • FIRST

  • video no long available after 14 minutes from being posted

  • the best dressed man on youtube :)
