I am an Oregonian for Obama. I spent the last year of my life working on a fishing boat in Alaska, trying to get rid of debt accumulated over the past 5 years. During those years I worked for a company that saw record growth for those on top, and I was rewarded with 4% annual raises. Since I returned from working 12 and 16 hour shifts, 7 days a week, I've seen less and less opportunity. I am slowly falling back into debt, and I personally need some serious change to our economic regulation.

In most but certainly not all cases debt is accumulated due to poor financial decision making. It is not your employer's responsibility to bail you out nor is it the government's. Regulation causes the problems it claims to solve. Costs go up quality goes down. Just look at health care and fuel costs--two industries that are most heavily regulated. Then look at computers and cell phones where there's less regulation and costs keep falling and quality goes up.

The terrorists were not from Iraq, we should've sent troops to afghanistan, they're the ones who attacked us on sept 11th and a few times before then.

Also, there has been terrorism in the last 5 years. Iraqis killing US troops with IED's is basically terrorism, the only difference is it's in another country.

over 4,000 US troops have died in Iraq and only about 3000 people died on september 11th. Not to mention 30,000-90,000 Iraqi people.

Iraq is a horrible war and we need to get out safely.

I'll admit you're using logic, but you're only using it a little bit of the way there. We may be providing jobs by battling in Iraq, but we are also losing much more resources than we are gaining or supplying people. On average, we spend $5000 a SECOND in Iraq right now. Also, lest we forget the words of Tony Benn, "If you can find money to kill people, you can find money to help people". We had enough jobs before Iraq, and we can have plenty without it now.
