i have the same set, and i personally highly recomend it.. unfortunatly i broke a lug on the snare so im using a tama metal shell snare at the moment (usually used as side snare) and it sounds great with both snares,.. im sure it sounds great with any snare but not too sure
@Trevor10 How did you break a lug? Why didn't you just replace the lug? Not trolling just wondering. i have have this set, I have noticed it doesn't take much to get really tough to turn them. I usually tune my snare pretty tight. as for my toms I barely give them a turn and I like how they sound. literally just above a wrinkle

As far as the Catalina maple... do you recommend it? What about that wooden snare? I'm using a '65 Dynasonic Rogers. Do you think it will match?

@fireems343 i do the same here.. maybe a little tighter on the toms, but im not quite sure how it broke and i did eventually get it replaced
