  • nice pal, i fav'd this vid.

  • ITG Sensibility = PIU Panels

  • sorry adam, but does it have to be that exact weather foam seal?. We have the black one at our arcade but i don't want to risk having the panels constantly stuck down :P

  • for reference, it's Frost King R516W. i couldn't find anything like it at my local Lowe's so i just bought the exact item from amazon. (it's listed as R516WH over there for some reason)

  • where do you buy an arcade ddr?

  • Thanks for the vid. I'm about to mod my pads now, and I noticed that about half of the brackets already have some grey stuff similar to this weatherseal, and where the strips are, it peeled off the decals on the bottom of the foot panels (I guess it eventually got sticky on both sides after lots of stomping.) Basically I'm asking is this stuff safe to not damage the decals on the foot panels?

  • @Jadin784 yes, it is safe for the panel decals. I have using this foam mod for 5 years now and have seen no wear on the underside of the panels. Hope this helps.

  • im intrested in what cabes in the tube that gos to machine how thay wire up in box can u show us

  • @djfreebey I could make a video on that, but it would take some time since the original monitor for my machine isn't at the place i'm currently living at.

  • @AdamMACHI ok looking fored to when u do it

  • For ITG machines, craft foam works well given that ITG pads are already somewhat raised. This is how the machine I play on is modded and I've had no issues with it at all.

  • ummmm, do you own that ddr machine? how'd you get it and how much did it cost?

  • yes I do, Ebay ~4 years ago, $6,000.

Now you could get a good deal on ddr machines. Probably looking around $2,000 for a mix that isnt extreme

  • @AdamMACHI how exactly do the pads connect to the machine? I'm pretty sure they're part of the jamma harness, right? would it be possible to just get a couple of arcade pads, hook them up to a standard jamma cable set, and then plug em into a J-pac to go into a PC?

  • @1boxerman I think what your asking me is, "Can you hook up the JAMMA Harness to a J-PAC, to get the pads to run off a PC? The answer to this is "yes"; however, if you have 2 pads (such as a normal 2 player arcade machine) you will need to bridge the connection of the pads together using hookup wire. This process may sound tricky, but actually its pretty easy. If you want to see how to do this, check out my video on converting a DDR Machine into a Stepmania Machine. I hope this helped you out.

  • @AdamMACHI yeah I know about bridging the pins. Pretty thorough vids by the way, but I just was wondering how it was all put together in the cab. Also, what is your global offset for the sync in openitg, stepmania, whatever?

  • @Spense9 your question has nothing to do with what the video is about.

  • @AdamMACHI that doesn't mean you can't answer it

  • @Spense9 m8 drr cost around 4900 in uk to the new that i just got cost me 10600 for ddr x

  • how long does this fix last before you need to install if again?

  • all depends on how often the machine gets played on, but on avg. (with constant play), about every 4 - 6 months.

  • cool. Really great fix

  • I think this is still a good way to fix your arcade dance machine pad with out paying lots of money . Best of all dance right way once fixed. I have just fixed my home arcade dance mat up not so long a go cleaned it up put new pading in it and buyed some arcade Replacement Arrows for iON Metal Pads. Its a lot better now they are made out of wood and metal they have a nice look about them. Well made this is for home metal dance mats that you can buy for about £250. very good video thinks.

  • all this does for me is makes my arrows stuck cuz they re so high and when i screw it in the corner brackets theres no room for the arrow to move. its TOO sensetive. and why do you have your arrows pointing inward? that looks so retarted! but i guess if thats what you like...

  • Thinks for writing to me.

  • does this work for itg pads because the pads at my arcade arent as high or sensitive as they used to be

  • yes, it works for any dancing arcade pad

  • Very good i bet what ever song you play on your pad it will not let you down.

  • thank you

  • That is pretty awesome, dude. :D

  • Your mom is pretty awesome, dude. :D

  • thanx, i hope this vid helps other ddr/itg players

  • how can i put stepmania on the arcade machine can u tell me how

  • thanks

  • nice video, i did something like this for my dedicab's pads.

  • thanx, i would imagine that you didnt have to mod ur pads too much seeing as how they are ITG2 dedicab pads. ITG2 dedicab pads are pretty awsome compared to DDR pads, thats why I needed to mod mine, lol.

  • WTF your Arrows are out of order lol.

So thats what it looks like XD

  • naa, i just dont like to have them as the way the came. So i rearrange them, thats all. It doesn't change the function of the arrows. Its just for looks.

  • (Goes to his DDR machines and removes all the arrows)

Ummm, crap does it matter if there are green ones mixed in as well?

    Wheres the Header?

  • Hi! I have a question: Where did you get your machine? I've been looking for either a very cheap complete machine or a arcade single pad on its own (which i doubt ill ever find).

  • i got mine on ebay, and i would start there as far as pricing goes, and then i would go to local arcades that might carry one and see if there willing to sell it for a reasonable price. I wish the best of luck to you. ^_^

  • what pads will this work on? like all ddr acrade pads? will it work on pump pads?

  • yes, all arcade pads. just make sure you buy the white cushion, and not the black one, because the black cushion doesn't spring back to its elastistic property as well.

  • in fact, the sensors i have it pump sensors, beacue they are more durable and more responsive.

  • yes

  • do u have a video of u opening ur own ddr cab

  • well, not physically. cuz that would really doesnt show anything special; however, in the stepmania to ddr cab vids I have posted, I show how to take it off. There is only 2 long screws on the back of the cabinet door which you remove, then lean the door back and pull up and out. Thats it.

  • what pads will this work on? like all ddr acrade pads? will it work on pump pads?

  • it works on all dancing arcade pads.

  • Very cool!

  • thank you
