YES thats how a mustang should run! I raced a 240zx last night and he put up a good run but once I hit 4th I just walked past him, I did 130 just as quick as you did.

@JM1991StangGT it sounds like when youre shifting the engine speed like, jumps real quick before the shift

@JM1991StangGT By that he probably means, when you push the clutch in, let off the gas. You get a quicker response time and much more power when you do it correctly. When you keep the gas hammered, and the clutch engages, the engine increases RPM, taking it out of the powerband, and also making it return to the RPM you were supposed to shift to a lot slower. You would improve the speed a hell of a lot if you took little things like that into consideration.

@JM1991StangGT dude an 02 gt breathes well to 6k rpms...don't be afraid to redline your car. they pull just fine to 6k...REDLINE IT...and shift it faster....God I hate when I see videos like this. it makes it look like all Mustang drivers can't drive and Mustangs are real slow when in reality this same car with a different driver would be noticably faster. get longtubes, cai, maf, tbody, upper plentum, stage 2 heads and cams, 4.10s and a real good tune and you can be quick, practice driving

@93VR4SPOOL it'd be better to just do a full bolt on, full exhaust, ported heads, cams, 5.4 dohc swap into this car with 4.30s and put down over 400 rwhp and shut people like you up...all while having .3 less liters STILL, even with the larger engine swap...not to mention you'd look and sound much better. the only ls1 that loooks good is a corvette...trans ams look good when fixed right but I fucking HATE camaros...so fuckin ugly..the ls1 camaros look like intrepids on steroids; GTO=GRAND PRIX

@93VR4SPOOL the reason I say 5.4 DOHC swap is because you can put down WELL OVER 400 rwhp with em modded a little with full bolt ons, exhaust and a good tune and smoke ls1s and won't have to hear the"it takes a supercharger for a ford to beat us" bullshit. It doesn't take a supercharger for a ford to smoke a chevy, even "almighty God" motor ls1. I seen a street driven 96 cobra with the 5.4 dohc swap, ported heads, cams, full bolts ons and exhaust put down 462 rwhp...enough to slay POS crapmaro

You may have a little more available torque than my civic as well. I love the final years of foxbodies except when the paint flakes off the fiberglass or plastic whatever it is. We redid my friends 90gt with a new crank and valvetrain and some efi mods. He never ran it on the track, but it was a torquey SOB.

no offence, but why would u sell an 02 mustang so u could tune up a 91? the 91 is 10 years older than the 02 and is more prone to problems
