oh ok thats good to know. I have a 1.5 inch laceration cut on my forehead where the unibrow is. Its been like about a week and half old. I been putting kelo-cote scar gel to help the healing process. But i was wonding if I can get a scar revision done right away since is still a fresh wound? and how much would it normally cost to fix it ?

@eastboy231 typically not safe or good idea to fix a fresh lac with a scar revision. better to wait 6 months to a year before revision if the wound has already been properly closed. cost is all over the board depending on who does and how it is done.

@eastboy231 you could if the wound is gaping. if it is a fine line, then it may just disappear. price and whether to do the surgery are dependent on a surgical in-person consultation.

@eastboy231 yes, kelo-cote is good. however, it won't fix a scar. it will only help the scar if you have already done a good scar revision on it.

ever heard of MEDERMA? he did not need surgery.

@AirForceGirl05 mederma in blinded and placebo controlled studies published in the renowned journal Dermatologic Surgery about 5 or 6 years ago showed to be absolutely useless in improving scars. I do not think mederma does anything, certainly not fixing an actual scar.

i would be very curious to get your input on my scar which is just below my bottom lip, and a slight bit into the vermillion border. the original closing was over a year ago, and though was not closed by a plastic surgeon, the plastic surgeons i have visited say they couldnt have done a better job themselves. I do not think this is the case, since there is a bit of wideness in the center of the scar which captures certain lighting. Please give me an email address so i can send pics of my scar.

unfortunately, photos do not do justice to a scar typically. they can either make them look worse or better. i am afraid if other PSs felt that it could not be better that i would not get that much better a result.

Would this procedure be expensive because i have several large scars on my torso from childhood operations that i would like to remove.

GBLRs don't heal that well on the body. also, i don't perform body scar revisions. just facial ones.
