they did it for cleaning reasons.more difficult to get infections(at ttimes when health conditions werent easy/after that passes to the tradition but the reason was the above)
plus there is a medical condition many small boys have it/its tight and they cant pee/at first doctors instruct parents or the kid to pull down many times /if in time doesnt get loose they operate .And it s no big deal

While men are circumdized because the hygienic reasons the women are circusized not to feel lust for sex. It is not something that is common in Isalm all over the world but is rather happening in African countries and also in African non islamic society. This should not be a topic connected to religion but to the emantiopation and female human rights. And if the men in USA are circumsized without their permission (which is not right as well) they have at least the ability to enjoy the sex.

This is from a TV program in Egypt (85+% Muslim Egypt), the reporter is a Muslim, most of the Channel/Program workers and owners are Muslims, the reporter clearly states how the Media, Doctors, and Clerics have stressed against FGC; not to mention the strict laws enforced.
To add to the matter, they HAD to go to a poor rural area to find this sort of views. Moreover, 2 of the four women when asked 'why?' said it was a tradition.

This is a barbaric act and in no way shape or form is it a part of the religion of Islam. This is the culture of these people. Non-Muslims and Muslims must realize that there is a difference between the Islamic religion and the culture of people.
