i would never have done that much to my intrigue, i would have atleast kept the body the same and gotten aftermarket engine parts. i was actually going for a sleeper look but i was coming up on a stop one night and the roads were icy, unfourtantly i didnt stop and i got t-boned n it totaled my car. im trying to find another intrige, i loved the power that the 3.8 put out.

yeah, this guys is truely ricer i mean not only does the car have a boost gauge and no form or boost but also he has 3 gauges on the a-pillar and 2 on the door and 1 where the heater duct is supposed to be and worst part is that is a tach if you look the car came with a tach from the factory that goes up to 8k rpm stock it only runs to 5500rpm and even seriously modded 7200rpm is the furthest it will spin and don't get me started on the body "mods" fucking fag he is gay he made the intrigue

i just raced a guy inthe high way in a ls400 in my 2.7 sonata with mods,and this guy could not get passed me! haha. i think this olds would crush your crumby ls.and yes i know hyundai's are not that great,it is my work car.but it still runs 15.7's.and tops out at 130 or so. now my cutlass 455 is another story.

Curious to know what year you raced, cause the LS400 ran 16.1 all the way to 14.8 in the 1/4 till it got that displacement boost and became the LS430. Try actually racing instead of trying to do flybys on someones grandpa.

Does anybody know how to turn off my traction control on my 2000 intrigue, it has a botton but I can't push it. I don't know if it is stuck or if is not a button at all. I don't have the manual

Is your button located in the center console right behind the gear selector like the 98's? You should be able to press it with gentle pressure. My question though, does anyone seem to notice that their traction control kicks in when not needed? Sometimes I will notice the "low trac" light come on in the dash if I'm just braking lightly.

My intrigue has a hard time starting when the engine is warmed up or when I drive it to the store, come out and try to start it back up. If anybody has had a similar problem and knows what is causing it let me know.

I have a 2000 Intrigue and it has a hard time starting a couple of times a week " more frequent with warmer weather out " It acts like fuel, but I replaced fuel filter, air filter, cleaned throttle body and changed Crank Shaft Position Sensor no luck. I am running more fuel treatment through it. No check engine light yet. It has 99,000 miles on it. No other problems. Any one had this problem? Answers? Thanks

half of the inside of my car was taken apart to get the ignition out, it's a pain in the ass

Thank you for the response and please let me know about the ignition. My chiltons manual said it could be the ignition also, but it is in a bad spot to work on. I wanted to know for sure before I tackled that job. I wish the computer would throw a code so I knew where to start. Peace

I have had the same problems with a 06 PT Cruiser. When the warmer weather come, it get hot in the days but the nights are still cold that can make humidity in your car's electronics and resulting in your car's computer freaking out. The fist thing i'd check would be your oxygen sensor or mass air flow sensor. Anyway hope you resolve your problem.

Yep. When it was colder is was OK but when the temp was around +5C it would choke when i was starting it. I did that cause the computer received a false msg from the oxygen sensor and acted like there was too much air in the fuel mixture so it closed the air entry and the engine was choking, there was also a thicker smoke coming out of the exhaust cause the fuel didn't burn like it's supposed to since there wasn't enough air. Anyway hope this help, and good luck with your problem.

And I wasn't wrong on the output #'s of the LX5 3.5L ShortStar - it's 215HP 235TQ. There's also no way it only gets that 160/170 or whatever, More like 200/220 Cause I know I smoke most stock cars on the road for the same price range - "Under 30k"

dude im not a hater (i used to own a 98 intrigue with the 3800 and it's pretty quick for what it is i won't lie)

but this car is a fucking riced out piece of shit

i mean look at all the gauges that it either doesn't need or came from the factory with

as for the power

i know i had mine baseline dynoed and it made 158whp and 171ft-lbs at the wheels and after i was done with it the car made 260whp with a hx35 turbo running 5psi and would run mid to low 13's in the 1/4 but his intrigue is shit!!!

You took one of the classier cars of the 90's and well...raped it. I mean...the paint job is nice, the rocker panels are OK and even the wheels are pretty tasteful...but why oh why did you slap that stupidly big spoiler on it? Downforce? Hardly. And that front end screams riced-out Eclipse...with giant nostrils. And the interior...just wow (and not the good kind of wow). That cheap blue paint and "carbon fiber" is just so tacky. What in the world could you possibly need all of those gauges for?
