When I was younger I had a lisp like Jory.

If I were him,I'd attempt to get rid of it.

When I first started working on getting rid of it& improving the way I pronounced my "S's" it was a conscious effort & after a few weeks it became 2nd nature to speak without the lisp.

They say it takes 28 days to form a new habit though it can take up to 3x as long to break one.Up to a month for smaller things,this being bigger will take longer.

yes doing laundry outside of home is quite boring... you know a neat trick... find one near a fast food join... go around lunch time... load crap in washer go eat lunch come back stuff should be done load in dryer and ummm... go eat again or do something else. i prefer to do it when i have other errands to run... i have never had someone steal my laundry so no worries. sitting there and waiting... yeah it fails. seems like time stops. but if you do other stuff it's not so bad.
