Thanks for the great music, where did you get the recording?

  • Simply the best Khatcha ever.

  • magnifico!

  • I absolutely LOVE his Khatchatuian/Ibert concerto CD (currently learning the later). Do you happen to have an actual video recording of this? If so, I would LOVE to see it posted on here.

  • I love this

  • No, he's right on the money(despite his lovely rubato :)

  • i've heard rampal play it around this tempo. but i am not sure what the 'recommended' tempo is. good technique, though.

  • this is magic!!!! great performance!!!!!

    I love this amazing flutist!!!!!

  • hey i cant find this recording anywhere. can you tell me where to get it?

  • did you tryied in amazon?

  • @fleacifer0413 James galloway has a CD out with this and other great pieces on it. he sounds amazing. amazon should have it/

  • His sound in the low register is just incredible.

  • i ve just listened to both pahud and galways and james has the edge emmanuel is brilliant but galways projection of sound is much clearer im not talking about the recording but his actual sound

  • Increible!

  • brillante!!!

  • REWELACJA

    BRAWO ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !

  • BRILLIANT!!!

  • What was the date of this performance? Please.

  • this is a EMI recording made in 2003

  • This movement is full of musical ideas and it sums up the work in a brilliant way. Excellent interpretation (very fast, but lyrical), flawless technique. The part starting at 7:58 is so beautiful!

  • This is galaxies above Rampal! Rampal should play the "Pahud Version"!!!

  • ahahha yes but rampal didn't have the flutes that we have now, and in his time the techinc was less important then now ^^ i think that the two interpretations are representative of two different ways of playing. I like them both anyway

  • Agreed in all respects. I wonder if perhaps musicians "evolve" in certain ways. Flutists today are held to higher standards, but in addition to the better instruments you've mentioned, they also have the example of the masters like Rampal, Baker, and others as their example, not to mention recordings of these amazing artists at their fingertips. The previous generations had to CREATE these standards/instruments/recordings. A much more difficult feat! :-)

  • @dorianmaestro

    Don't speak bulshit!

  • preferisco RAMPAL.....tutt'altra classe.......4ever the best!!!!!
