My job in Vietnam in the Marines was unusual. I was in supply. Yet I was asked to volunteer for 2/5 (the most decorated batallion in the Marine Corp) Then I was volunteere to stay back with five other Marines to defend An Hoa combat base in August1971. We were to slow the NVA down. We ended up facing either 1500 or 5000 NVA. Yet I am a REMF. Actually, if any BAD ASS VIETNAM VET wants to do COMBAT with me. I would actually LOOK FORWARD TO IT.

The difference is, in Vietnam, the war crimes were encouraged by high-ranking officers and government officials. During WW2, American servicemen who were caught committing rape and/or murder were hanged for it (141 to be exact). In Vietnam, at most they got slaps on the wrist. One Sgt got a $582 fine for murdering a civilian.

1) Fonda was rich long before she got involved in politics (her dad, Henry Fonda, was a movie star, in case you didn't know) and her fortunes were inherited from him or earned by being a movie star in her own right, as well as her exercise videos.

2) Most anti-war demonstrators were college students and female -two groups exempted from the draft. Any family that wanted to get junior out of military service only had to get a doctor to sign a statement that he was physically or mentally unfit.
