Greg, did you notice the Johnny A to be really pick/touch sensitive too? I noticed that when I played on in person and even in your video I can notice it I think. The harder you play the more overdriven it sounds kinda of?
@1pozz1 I think you can still buy them from Gibson but they don't come with a Bigsby tremolo any more. I believe they cost around 3000 to 4000 dollars. If you want to the Bigsby you could probably find on used on ebay for around the same price. If I had that money I would buy one of these SO fast!
What you are listening to is a Johnny A Inspired By Signature Model made by the Gibson Custom Shop. The guitar is a full hollow body with the exception of two dowels which are used to mount the bigsby and bridge. The guitar is thicker than a Les Paul but thinner than your standard semi-hollow. Feedback is less than a 335 which is surprising for a full hollow body.
Been waiting to see you play that one,and boy does that have a beautiful top and finish. Sounds really nice. Any easy way to describe how that sounds or plays differently than your ES 335 or a Les Paul? I don't think I'll ever find one of those left handed,so I'll just have to live vicariously thru you playing yours. Cheers
Yes, I have it. I bought it since I thought it has a smaller body. I stroungly feel that ES-335 is better. ... And than what is better?, I know. But it is. problems are going out of tune with bigsby and 335 has just a better sound., no matter what the amp is. Honestly. It is still very beautiful, don't take me wrong.
