I am in agreement with Halobrigadier94. Coldplay and Oasis make the same gendre of music. For we this thing is the most important because we can hear a lot of different songs.

To the atmost we can say if rock music is better than pop music or similar things.

Oasis, I mean seriously. Their debut was good, and the followup is so overrated. 'Wonderwall' was a great song(regardless of radio saturation), and that's about it(Masterplan had some good B-sides. if they had discipline, they might be relevant. They do not. Coldplay are remarkably good, and they maintain their character and integrity by being humble. No comparison. And Coldplay don't even come out claiming to be the new 'beatles', w/ haircuts too match. you were almost right the first time; it's a half step down, except for the 5th string, which stays at B, according to utube tuning. he plays last 2 strings mostly open which adds to cohesive sound of the whole piece (first stanza is skipped though -"you cut me down a tree...").
