Well, even though Kinnick North is gone, we now have an even better stadium, TCF Bank Stadium, which henceforth shall be known as The Bank, as in "we're going to The Bank to collect another win". Minnesota is winless in TCF Bank Stadium this year and boasts a lowly 4-9 record in The Bank so far with those wins being over Air Force, Purdue, Michigan State, and South Dakota State last year with Purdue and Michigan State being the only "quality" wins. They beat the others by a combined 10 points.

@coloradokid1992 Well, Northern Illinois is a decent team this year, so losing to them isn't too bad (kind of like how losing to Utah would be), but losing to South Dakota, yeah I agree that was beyond embarrassing, a nightmare to sit through I'm sure. I think getting rid of Brewster was the right move, even last year, Minnesota wasn't much better than this year's team, just luckier. I think Horton could be a great HC for Minnesota, his Vegas casino style playcalling is exciting to watch.

I think this was the same game where two Iowa fans were caught screwing in the Minnesota stadium bathroom. Besides, they had Decker against Penn State and couldn't score against Penn State's second string defense (which allowed Minnesota to gain 80% of their total yards for the day), and Minnesota's D was still gouged late in the 4th quarter by Kevin Newsome and Brent Carter. And I think Iowa's defense was pretty much as good as Penn State's, maybe not as shut-down (PSU didn't allow more than 24 points all year), but Iowa had more than enough heart to make up for it.

That was the game that showed me that the 2008 Hawks could have been something special and the 2009 Hawks had the making of what ALMOST was. Coule the third time be the charm? I see 2010 coming down between Iowa, Ohio State, Wisconsin, and possibly Northwestern or Michigan State. I'm a Penn State fan but realistic, PSU isn't contending.

@HereComeTheHawkeyes Well, PSU does have a QB, but I don't know how good Newsome is. The QB issue isn't what scares me, it's the deeply gutted defense. I honestly don't see PSU winning in Kinnick, more like losing 35-10 or something like that. I right now see PSU going 4-8 (1-7) with the only conference win being against Indiana. If PSU does better than that, then that might give me hope that 2011 could be a national title for JoePa. Otherwise, 2011 will be another 8-4 to 10-2 season.
