I think its a good game exept there isnt any zones, and no TAXES. The only game that is simcity related and HAS zones is SimCity SNES. Which is better that Simcity Societies.
I guess if you look at it from another perspective, Societies is intended for more younger audiences, because of its simplicity.
If you look at Sim City 4 the same way, you will see that it's almost completely the opposite. The controls are more advanced, and there is a lot of "planning" into how you create a city.
Therefore, Sim City 4 is intended for older audiences, whereas Societies is for younger audiences.
Would be nice if The Sims 3 will be combined with this type of game style. Play huge, as a city mayor (which your sim can be) or play in detail (controling your sims).
Why do people keep saying it sucks! I mean,this isnt suppose to be a 2d flat and boring game where you have to make taxes and ordiances. SC4 sucks! I mean,the graphics are horrible and you cant see the diffrence between the city game if you cast an ordiance

I must admit i am dissapointed with the concepts of the game and how you couldn't grow your city to the extents of simcity 4, but its different to simcity 4 and it's supposed to be. If EA had thought the game through more thoroughly then maybe they wouldn't need to introduce downloads for the game and it could have been improved then. EA are probably one of the best game developers, all they need to do is pull there socks up for simcity 5.
this game is crap, they freaking scaled it down to make it look nice for adverts... you place every singly building, so you dont exactly watch your city grow... its like playing a drag drop picture flash game...
yup! especially all the mods like NAM. but this seems to be very detailed and has good 3d graphics. the bad part is you have to place everything your sefl. the roads also kinda seem realistic. i wanna see whether this is a good game or not.

Yeah! Simcity 4 was best at series!! (I think so) It's much better cause of buildings will be build randomly and computer decides it!

people say sim city 5 may recover the sim city depression the game is going through because it may be made by maxis again
the only thing about sim city societies i like is the music. it sounds calm and relaxing
