@gozzywozzy what IS the answer? In my home town, the inner city gets all the new schools and the suburbs and rural communities of the county are left with asbestos infested 60+ year old structures. And yet, they out perform the inner city schools. It's about a lack of care in the thug inner city culture. You know it, and I know it.
@tnpharmd Blacks right now mainly have band role models. Now that Barack Obama is president things are changing but you need to also count in the quality of the teachers. A school called Urban Prep is graduating many blacks and sending them to college. We need more schools like this. Also just because a school is new does it have good computers? New books? Athletics? etc It needs more than a structure
On school grounds, where you are provided a captive audience who have to, by compulsion of enrollment in the courses, be exposed to this political protest, you have to accept some resistence to your passive aggressive and deliberately hate mongering activities. You have organized in order to spread a confused form of ethnic bigotry, under a very thin and unconvincing veil of political activism. If you invited people to a debate it would be different, but you are sociopathic bigots and liars.
@NodrogTrax Not a single thing that you stated was true, and the only "sociopathic biogots and liars" are the ones who favor racist systems like affirmative action.
affirmative action is well intentioned, it provides a solution to discrimination but it's wrong, you can't fight discrimination with more discrimination.
@yijied56 The prices reflect affirmative action. Affirmative action hurts Asians the most, i.e. an Asian would require a higher SAT score than a white person, everything else equal, to be considered equal in the application process.
This is a blatant misuse of University authority! These kids are protected under the constitution.
Amendment I (1791)
"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances."
Geez. I know these liberal college administrators can be a real pain in the ass, stifling freedom and all. Like at my school those jerks got all over us for having a "George Wallace Standing in the Doorway Day". Can you believe that? I can only imagine the liberal uproar when we try "Lester Maddox Ax Handle Day". Damned liberals!
Finally, It was Justice Louis Brandeis who said, Fear of serious injury alone cannot justify oppression of free speech and assembly. Men feared witches and burnt women. It is the function of speech to free men from the bondage of irrational fears.
he also said, Publicity is justly commended as a remedy for social and industrial diseases. Sunlight is said to be the best of disinfectants; electric light the most efficient policeman. Which seems to be exactly what has happened here.
Instead it has become a matter of national attention and has embarrassed the University, it's President and Alumni. The General Counsel for the University, Wayne Bromfeld, has been made to look like a total fool, the president looks like he is resigning in disgrace, and these two deans also look like "oppressors". Is this the attention the students and university want? As Robert Shibley said, "If you go to a University for 4 years and are never offended, you should ask for your money back!"
2. There is no "Right to not be offended" it is the essence of being offendd that forces one to think critically about the arguments being presented. It is far easier to silence the "offensive" viewpoint or dismiss it out of hand or via "ad-hominem" attacks. Thinking is HARD WORK
3. Suppression of speech in this day and age only serves to further ENHANCE AND PROMOTE the speech via national media. That is exactly what happened here. If Bucknell had just allowed it, it would now be history
1. It does not matter if you pay 50k or nothing to attend a University. If you do not have freedom to explore even the most offensive ideas, you are the one being cheated. Also being cheated are those who oppose such viewpoints they have no opportunity to refute the argument. The argument remains "silenced" and therefore "validated" in the minds of those who hold the offensive beliefs
I remember that day a friend of mine came into our Gateway and told is about this, just as I was about to run out the door to the bake sale he mentioned it was in the midst of being shutdown.
I was highly disappointed... I'm Mexican... and I had a lot of quarters...
@MattMiz03 I'm guessing that they are paying to attend classes and their decision to protest is incidental to their main purpose. May I ask why you are so upset with these students? You might not agree with their message, but you have to agree that this is political speech. There is nothing wrong with conveying a message to the administration, you know, that group of people who work for you.
@MattMiz03 Yeah right because we all know that conservative movements get heard on campus with working inside the confines of the system. Please, I am liberal in fact I am a true liberal, let them have their bakesale. Way to side with the MAN when it feels convenient.
Typical response. It amuses me that Whites are always fixated on the racial component of the policy.Affirmative Action can be altered based on the type of alleged discrimination that is taking place. For an example, there are Affirmative Action plans for Whites at HBCU's, Affirmative Action plans for people of Jewish extract in the New England area. It's inherently racist to only focus on the racial aspect because you are implying that you are entitled and we are incompetent.think->white women
Wow. What are our college administrators doing with their time?
Affirmative Action is baloney.
Blacks have been free to leave the US since the 1800's when Quakers helped them return to their beloved homelands. The problem was/is they have it much better here than in Africa where the locals thought they were too uppity.
Living in california that is only half white at most in my county, I can tell you affirmative action is discriminatory. Even if the population isnt predominately white , it still uses AA- THAT IS! INSTITUTIONAL RACISM WAKE UP!
The rest of you states that have no idea have something else coming to you.
Whites dont get anything because they are white, but because they have standards, when this country was 90% white did everyone get a loan did every one go to college did everyone have a good job NO
It's funny how these white kids going to a private school with daddy's money actually have a problem with affirmative action. I wonder what these kids would have done back in the 60's and 50's when white racism ran rampant and equality was the norm.
yea funny thing is this aint the 50's or the 60's, it's 2009. We have a black president and if he could rise to the highest office in the nation then there is no reason why other black people can't achieve based solely on merit. AA is a crutch and a relic of decades past, let it die.
a black president doesn't mean shit, it took how long from marching, and sit ins, and non-violence in the 60's until now to get a 1/2 black president. and amerika is just as racist as it was then.
PS Jim Carrey could have won the presidency after George Bush, it was the Dems race to lose.
While still racist, I definitely wouldn't say it's as racist now as it was then. The continued institutionalized racism demonstrates the need for continued policies of affirmative action, but I think racism definitely has decreased in the past 40-50 years.
This is wonderful and all, but it doesn't represent the actual situation. What you are referencing is not truly America. In the America I know, blacks are unemployed at a 6% higher rate than whites. In the America I know, blacks with college degrees are unemployed at a 2.5% higher rate than whites with college degrees. An MIT study showed that a person with a black-sounding name is 50% less likely to be called back than a person with a white-sounding name, even when qualifications are identical.
So you expect me to believe that if we eliminated AA that everyone would be selected based off of merit?LMAO! Have ever heard of implict biases?Very naive to think that but you are entitled to your opinion. The policy is half ass implemented now according to the EEOC. They are severely understaffed and don't have the ability to regulate corporations who are suppose to follow these policies. As a result, they continue the same hiring practices that make AA a necessity.
@win70supershadow Barack Obama is a token man who made it. The first ever black and female millionaire in America was Madame CJ Walker. "Oh well since she became a millionaire then that eans all women and black people can too." NOTT There is still discrimination to this day in many facets of life. Education, workforce, housing, etc. If you tell me that everybody is equal in 2009 or even 2011 then you are ignorant.
@GozzyWozzy Yes, there certainly still is discrimination in education, and it's all blatantly anti-white. And no, everybody is not equal now, and it's absurd to expect anything of the sort. You can't legislate genetics.
@PumpingSmashkins You are ignorant, blacks in America have the WORST schools in the nation. Watch Oprah's trading schools. White suburban school has superior education than black urban school. Watch it for yourself. Once the INSTITUTION is fixed then affirmative action won't be needed. It is not genetics it is CLASS. The people with more money can afford tutors, better schools, etc. Poor people CANNOT afford the extra stuff because they can barely afford their own food.
@GozzyWozzy Here's an idea. When people apply for jobs or college, instead of outright generalizing the quality of their prior education based on the color of their skin, why not just ASK them whether they attended a crappy school or not? No one is forcing blacks into an inferior mold. Look at Clarence Thomas; before some time spent in Savannah, he didn't even grow up in an urban setting--he grew up with other dialectic, uneducated, non-English-speaking blacks in a Georgia swamp.
@Hexl702 Yale is a moot point, because A.) He hated the entire experience. To this very day he calls choosing to attend Yale Law School the "worst decision" of his life because B.) Once he WAS at Yale, he excelled past his white peers on his very own (AA doesn't affect grades, y'know) yet constantly felt used as the yuppy white liberal community's token black guy. And congratulations on not once blurting out "Uncle Tom," the typical knee-jerk reaction when blacks dare to think for themselves.
Funny that you think one who may have benefited from AA cannot speak out against it without being a hypocrite, despite the fact that EVERY black person seeking college or work since Thomas' time has received AA "help" whether they've wanted it or not. Thus, how can we know how they feel unless they speak out? Is it not the common concern, that whenever there's a successful black, he's likely to be assumed to have had a crutch? Not much choice with AA, is there?
@Hexl702 We're finally starting to agree. I believe Thomas, for one, succeeded on merit, but like you implied by insisting that he was helped, YOU JUST CAN'T KNOW. See? Both sides agree it's wrong that successful blacks will be assumed to have been helped, but unlike the liberals, I don't understand why that sad truth is a reason to KEEP affirmative action; isn't that a reason to get RID of affirmative action? Let this "merit" you speak of take over? Or at least base AA on wealth, not race.
As a student at this university I would like to say:
BUCC is the most annoying club on campus. Stop whining and start enjoying college life at our beautiful university. The mass majority of the university population doesn't give a shit about what your political opinions are, so shut up and drink a beer. At least then the most annoying noise you will able to make is the 'sipping' sound, and you may even have a fraction of a personality afterwords.
I love how the fat guy with the white shirt can't give a straight answer. He knows he's wrong and full of crap but he'd rather be popular with the students than do the right thing.
Figures. One has to wonder if it were the Black Student Union or Muslim Student Council if he would have made a huge deal out of something so tiny. I think not.
As a student of this University, I was embarassed and appalled. Affirmative action has racial components but is not solely based on race; AA is based upon income and gender as well. In fact, statistics show that the group that benefits most from AA is low income white women.
It is a shame that the BUCC tried to make this a racial issue, especially when we're like 15% non-white. They need to better structure their arguments so that it is more comprehensive and factual-based.
Actually affirmative action would be totally legal and legitimate in a private institution, but I don't know if Bucknell would qualify as a totally private institution legally, with government grants and funding and everything. Regardless, the school was probably wrong and violated some contractual condition, but so what...it's not that big of a deal...join the Liberal club...make new friends...that's what college is for.
The BUCC is stupid for doing this. They half-assed their protest, the Admin did the right thing by shutting it down but for the wrong reasons. The Conservatives at Bucknell have nothing to say about AA because they have a skewed view of the intentions especially when the campus is over 80% white, with asians being the largest minority at 13% and african americans make up less than 3%, all with less than 4000 students. Yep they're oppressed by reverse racism alright....
im sure when you some brother walking down the street you think to yourself oh he must b half white, and half black, the first you see is that black skin, remember that, obama is black, have a fun day.
But trust that most people like the fact that when you see our president you see a black man. They want to be able to legitimize idiotic displays like this. They think "well we don't need affirmative action anymore because we have a black president. Problem solved!"
Black people act like they can relate to Obama, but the only thing they can relate to is his skin color. Obama does not represent the mass African American mentality, neither does his behavior reflect the masses of Blacks. Also, diversity doesn't work because Cultures are stronger and more productive when they work in their own communities. it is good when these communites learn from eachother seperately, but when you mix everyone up into one, you create problems and tension.
I couldn't disagree with you more. Black people DO relate to Obama because of his politics, sense of community, etc. If what you said was true Black people would relate to Alan Keyes, which they don't. Then you went and made a blanket racist statement as if all black people have the same experiences, except for president Obama. Ontop of all that, you basically make a case for separate but equal. Listen, when you separate groups and expect them to learn from each other it does work...
Look at old world New York, when you segregate groups u feed in to nationalism, and allow breeding grounds for stereotypes. You HAVE to allow people to mix in order for them to learn stuff about them that the WOULDNT learn without being around each other. We need a little tension, and socially constructed, subliminal racism
Ummm, guess what. Most people i know DONT want to mix. Who in the hell do you think you are telling people they have to mix? I will continue to segregate myself to people i relate to and many millions of others will do the same thing. It is my right to do so and no dumb liberal policy will EVER change that.
Understand?
No wonder why NY is a breeding ground for degenerates.
This is where your liberal mind warping policies destroy nations.
The only policy that Black people relate to with Obama is free stimulus money and a welfare based economy. Sorry the truth hurts. Oh, and his black skin. HAHA doesnt bother me though, what bothers me is that he has no power and really is a puppet for the world players who are trying to conquer the USA by dividing and destroying. You really think Obama just came out of nowhere and got the biggest campaign financing in history as a miracle?? You are thinking surface level my friend.
Your thinking conspiracy theory and narrow-minded conservativism. I said that old NY was culturally segregated & u said that it was a breeding ground for degenerates... ok?
And their you go with your stereotypes again. Please do the world a favor and admit to your racist tendencies and don't let your facade of conservative politics hide the truth...
How many links would you like of Obama's legislation that are right NOW systematically destroying U.S. sovereignty by entitling U.N. law over American sovereignty??
Would you like to actually know what is going on? Or would you like like to keep living in LA LA Land?
Affirmative action and diversity are totally different things. Mandating that one group ought to get preferential treatment simply because of the colour of their skin is different from allowing all people regardless of the colour of their skin an equal opportunity. Let each INDIVIDUAL be measured accourding to their MERIT and nothing else.
Affirmative action is the most racist policy this backwards country has ever proposed. The funny thing is that it makes minorities look like they are so dumb they cant compete with white people without "special" help. and minorities support this policy. So funny.
Affirmative action doesn't make minorities look dumb that they can't compete with whites.
Affirmative action makes white people look like they can't get along with other races that they have to enact a law to control their own behavior. Affirmative action intended to pick qualified candidates but qualified candidates will threaten whites, therefore it became the opposite in order to keep whites in control. Then came the major loophole of elevating the white woman.
I'm not a liberal nor a conservative. Those labels are stupid and only the ignorant fall for it.
And, I would beg to differ that "affirmative action is the most racist policy this backwards country has ever proposed."
Educate yourself on the subject then come back and comment. And please, educate yourself on both affirmative for whites and affirmative action for all others.
Affirmative action for whites is also known as institutional racism. It's been in affect for hundreds of years. Yes, white people actually get jobs, housing, loans, favoritism, etc. just because they are white. Whether qualified or not. As soon as that affirmative action plan expires then all other affirmative action plans can expire.
So lets not talk about getting rid of one without gettting rid of the other. I say get rid of all of them.
You have no brain. White people have had good jobs for hundreds of years because they were the ONLY ones qualified in education and skill level to employ the top positions. And when you say that whites use affirmative action today? WRONG. Whites use their brains because they are educated and NOT lazy like many monorities are who reap the benefits, i try not to be racist but you can say this is not true, but the white population including myself has seen it day after day,
Rodney King: Not one broken bone, released form the hospital that same day, what a joke. Rodney King lead Police on a high speed chase endangering the lives of everybody on the freeway that night. piss on Rodney King and Affirmative Action. piss on Racial, too Quotas. the Real racism is Black America!.
Hmmm, selling donuts to raise awareness for affirmative action and other possible political agendas. Serious people, get real! You (or most likely your parents) have paid for you to study at one of the MOST expensive private liberal arts schools on the east coast and this is the best you could come up with!?Your arguments when talking with the Dean were weak and you prov. no evidence that you were successful in the protest. Stop the val. girl crap and become real students or leave Lewisburg.
they should've just let you keep going instead of shutting you down. shutting you down gave more publicity to this ridiculous ideology. your fellow students would've been the better judges for the flaw in logic.
thats funny how she says we have it on tape, as if thats gonna do any good, rodney king got his ass kicked by 10 armed bitches and it was on tape and what did they do.....nothing!
this world is full of ignorance and you people are retarded if you think what you are doing represents affirmative action and the guy laughing the whole time isnt very promoting to your failure of a cause IGNORANT TRASH IN THE WORLD UNITE IN TEXAS SO YOU GUYS CAN FIGHT THE PIG FLU HEAD ON and maybe clear out some of this ignorance
I clicked on this video like a regular watcher but when I saw that I'm glad they got shut down. Fuckin racists. I seriously hope that doomsday thing in the year 2012 is true because humans are fucked up in an epic scale. Racists are dumb so only the intelligent will survive.
I know what you are saying! They had different prices for different "races"? If this is for real, the students' heart may have been in the right place, but their differing prices makes it seem racist. It makes sense to shut them down based on that.
LOL! It is funny though! Looks like they didn't put much time into it (Dunkin Don.)! Theses students are all a bunch of fools and are downright unamerican. These are the same kind of people that split this country apart and what keeps us as a nation from concentrated our resources to move ahead.
How is the affirmative action bake sale any different from the affirmative action policy applied to the admission of college students? The only difference between the two is the good being distributed. In the AA Bake Sale, bake sale goods are being distributed with ethnicity, race, and gender considered. In AA in the realm of college admissions, an opportunity to pursue a college education is being distributed with ethnicity, race, and gender being considered as well.
Sure. To be an activist or propose a program based on the favoring and preferantial treatment solely connected to one being a "minority", is as a racist and biggoted a concept as proposing a program or legislation to the contrary. In other words, it is just as racist to say give than take based on ethnicity, gender, or the color of ones skin. The whole concept of affirmative acction is divisive. Constructed to continue animocity towards your fellow human beings. And that is all it is.
They AREN'T racist. They are simply making fun of AFFIRMATIVE ACTION programs which make it easier for people of certain ethnicities to attend colleges by lowering their addmission standards. You are correct. Affirmative action is racist.
to call them racist, because they lime light, what our gov. institution is doing?
there is a difference between an individuals opinion (whether racist or not) and institutional racism which AA is. Get your facts straight. Black panther party, laraza,Mecha, etc etc etc etc ARE ALL ENDORSED BY GOV. when was the last time the kkk was? nut job!
What dumbasses. It's obvious their intent was to provoke with the unspoken goal of being shut down, and when it happens they bitch about it. Cry me a freakin' river...
Someone on Fark had a great idea. I can't take credit for it, but here it is anyway...
"You kind of have a point, they should have just had a limited number of doughnuts allotted for each race and not sold any outside of that group to anyone outside of that race.
Sorry, we've already sold our two "White Peoples" Doughnuts, but we've got 3 "Asians" and 4 "African American" doughnuts left if you can prove your blood.
That would have been more appropriate comparison."
(a) All persons shall be entitled to the full and equal enjoyment of the goods, services, facilities, privileges, advantages, and accommodations of any place of public accommodation, as defined in this section, without discrimination or segregation on the ground of race, color, religion, or national origin."
The only way that a "commercial educational institution" will learn the error of their ways is to see drastically lower enrollment in the future.
They're already paid up for this semester, so it's far too late for the thinking students to choose another option now, but they can start looking into alternatives and transfer out before the next semester begins.
Once the "school" starts bleeding students, revenue, and profits (they DO make profits!) they may start trying to TEACH & not CONTROL
There is nothing to be gained from arguing with Commerford and Marrara because nothing that they are saying is true. Addressing their faux complaint is a fools errand because they're lying out of their arses.
It would be far more effective to hire an attorney and have him or her be present in anticipation of this procedural attack. Let your lawyer do the talking.
Get better cameras and better microphones as well.
Travis, I love you, but this is honestly one of the most offensive and dumbest things that has ever come out of the BUCC. There are legitimate interests in affirmative action programs, and the way that they are portrayed by your "protest" is not reflective of how they are implemented by university admissions programs. Please try to think next time before you put on unintentionally racist bake sales.
You miss the point entirely. Just like the administration, you label a point of view that you don't like as racist. That is the current liberal approach to shutting down debates. How about arguing your point instead?
This offended me. Why? I don't know, they mentioned race, I guess. VOTE DEMOCRAT!!!

LOL! Thomas was a mediocre judge. He was rated "qualified' by the ABA, not "well qualified" which is usually
the case w/ Justice nominees. Before the Anita Hill flap, he wasnt impressing anyone with his

Stalicone 2 years ago
Stalicone 2 years ago
Clearly a violation of speech rights.

The problem was/is they have it much better here than in Africa where the locals thought they were too uppity.

yea funny thing is this aint the 50's or the 60's, it's 2009. We have a black president and if he could rise to the highest office in the nation then there is no reason why other black people can't achieve based solely on merit. AA is a crutch and a relic of decades past, let it die.
win70supershadow 2 years ago 5
a black president doesn't mean shit, it took how long from marching, and sit ins, and non-violence in the 60's until now to get a 1/2 black president. and amerika is just as racist as it was then.
PS Jim Carrey could have won the presidency after George Bush, it was the Dems race to lose.
ronblackX 2 years ago
While still racist, I definitely wouldn't say it's as racist now as it was then. The continued institutionalized racism demonstrates the need for continued policies of affirmative action, but I think racism definitely has decreased in the past 40-50 years.
tribefan011 2 years ago
This is wonderful and all, but it doesn't represent the actual situation. What you are referencing is not truly America. In the America I know, blacks are unemployed at a 6% higher rate than whites. In the America I know, blacks with college degrees are unemployed at a 2.5% higher rate than whites with college degrees. An MIT study showed that a person with a black-sounding name is 50% less likely to be called back than a person with a white-sounding name, even when qualifications are identical.
tribefan011 2 years ago
So you expect me to believe that if we eliminated AA that everyone would be selected based off of merit?LMAO! Have ever heard of implict biases?Very naive to think that but you are entitled to your opinion. The policy is half ass implemented now according to the EEOC. They are severely understaffed and don't have the ability to regulate corporations who are suppose to follow these policies. As a result, they continue the same hiring practices that make AA a necessity.
PHRESHLLC 2 years ago
@win70supershadow Barack Obama is a token man who made it. The first ever black and female millionaire in America was Madame CJ Walker. "Oh well since she became a millionaire then that eans all women and black people can too." NOTT There is still discrimination to this day in many facets of life. Education, workforce, housing, etc. If you tell me that everybody is equal in 2009 or even 2011 then you are ignorant.
GozzyWozzy 1 year ago
@GozzyWozzy Yes, there certainly still is discrimination in education, and it's all blatantly anti-white. And no, everybody is not equal now, and it's absurd to expect anything of the sort. You can't legislate genetics.
PumpingSmashkins 4 months ago
@PumpingSmashkins You are ignorant, blacks in America have the WORST schools in the nation. Watch Oprah's trading schools. White suburban school has superior education than black urban school. Watch it for yourself. Once the INSTITUTION is fixed then affirmative action won't be needed. It is not genetics it is CLASS. The people with more money can afford tutors, better schools, etc. Poor people CANNOT afford the extra stuff because they can barely afford their own food.
GozzyWozzy 4 months ago
@GozzyWozzy Here's an idea. When people apply for jobs or college, instead of outright generalizing the quality of their prior education based on the color of their skin, why not just ASK them whether they attended a crappy school or not? No one is forcing blacks into an inferior mold. Look at Clarence Thomas; before some time spent in Savannah, he didn't even grow up in an urban setting--he grew up with other dialectic, uneducated, non-English-speaking blacks in a Georgia swamp.
BrotherAtticus 4 months ago

@Hexl702 Wow, 3 whole responses!
BrotherAtticus 4 months ago

As a student of this University, I was embarassed and appalled. Affirmative action has racial components but is not solely based on race; AA is based upon income and gender as well. In fact, statistics show that the group that benefits most from AA is low income white women.
It is a shame that the BUCC tried to make this a racial issue, especially when we're like 15% non-white. They need to better structure their arguments so that it is more comprehensive and factual-based.

Actually affirmative action would be totally legal and legitimate in a private institution, but I don't know if Bucknell would qualify as a totally private institution legally, with government grants and funding and everything. opios80 2 years ago

cdot311 2 years ago
Black people act like they can relate to Obama, but the only thing they can relate to is his skin color. Obama does not represent the mass African American mentality, neither does his behavior reflect the masses of Blacks. Also, diversity doesn't work because Cultures are stronger and more productive when they work in their own communities. it is good when these communites learn from eachother seperately, but when you mix everyone up into one, you create problems and tension.
opios80 2 years ago
I couldn't disagree with you more. Black people DO relate to Obama because of his politics, sense of community, etc. If what you said was true Black people would relate to Alan Keyes, which they don't. Then you went and made a blanket racist statement as if all black people have the same experiences, except for president Obama. Ontop of all that, you basically make a case for separate but equal. Listen, when you separate groups and expect them to learn from each other it does work...
cdot311 2 years ago
Look at old world New York, when you segregate groups u feed in to nationalism, and allow breeding grounds for stereotypes. opios80 2 years ago 2
opios80,
Affirmative action doesn't make minorities look dumb that they can't compete with whites.

Affirmative action for whites is also known as institutional racism. It's been in affect for hundreds of years. As soon as that affirmative action plan expires then all other affirmative action plans can expire.
So lets not talk about getting rid of one without gettting rid of the other. I say get rid of all of them.

A multimillion dollar lawsuit against the university for racial discrimination might be an effective means of forcing them to stop this crap.

You have to love it when liberals make it obvious. :)
