@playinntraffic i think it's just a habit of string players to speed up the slow songs. as beautiful as it sounds when it's that slow, it's agonizing to play that slow.
Yep- Claire de Lune is my absolute favorite classical song of all time. It loses its emotion when sped up this much, though I am excited to hear a strings version of the song. Debussy is a GENIUS.
i love VSQ, and all their arrangements, but on this one, all the props go to debussy. this is another beautiful interpretation from VSW, but nobody can touch the brlliance of debussy
I think they could play it a little slower but regardless, it's ALWAYS beautiful. It shouldn't start being associated with Twilight as much, but oh well.
@NawsChicky yeah i know, im surprised this video does not mention debussy anywhere, except under "tags" i think. still, i think it's a good thing that you find so much classical music and artwork in today's pop culture; it helps keep it alive in a more modern way.
@DoAnything3456 i dont really think of it as a twilight song at all, just because it came off the sountrack. i didnt really notice that i neglected to mention it was a debussy cover. ill add that. vsq are amazing tribute artists. its just that they dont tribute classical stuff. they tribute modern rock music and modern pop culture soundtracks. since this was in twilight, they tributed it, and they did it very well i think.
Does this sound a little fast, or is it just me? idk, id like it more if it was a little slower and not rushed.

@MrViola94 - Totally agree, play it slower and not so much 'oh, yes that song from twilight'....first time I heard clair de lune was in Oceans 11

First Chanel now Twilight? Le sigh. Clare de Lune is Debussy and Debussy is BIGGER than pop culture.
