For 7 months, that is excellent in my point of view. Considering that i haven't got as far as you with 9 months. This is really sad for me to watch. I am only 14 years old and with small fingers and i have problems sometimes hitting the strings with the top of my fingers - could this be because of the size of my fingers?
I have a private teacher but i am not sure if i will start taking lessons from him again in September. I will start learning my guitar very serious this summer.
keep them coming - life is busy and real progress is slow and comes in fits in starts for most mere mortals ... so long as you're getting enjoyment and fun ...
@MrV6sport: good ones too. the Horizon isn't cheap and so is the Taylor. as long as the guy plays them, its all good.

These few easy chords are not going to get you anywhere. unless just stricly wanna me an open chord strummer. try learnig some bars,7ths...
