"tragically, one of the very few things still Great *about* Britain." oh boo hoo. What a crappy thing to say about Britain... and I am not even from Britain.
@markiliff No, it can't be D minor as the last chord because it did the bait and switch at the end to make it in major at the very last. It could have been D minor before that, but definitely not at the end.
@markiliff I could have called it a Picardy 3rd, which is the historically common way to end a minor song in major. I'm just not sure that's what it is because while short, it's more major than just the final cadence.
Unbelievable how every comments section for these videos is filled with people arguing over grammar.
I'll just say that the actual video for which this comments section exists is outstanding, and I sincerely hope that this petty, condescending, grammar-correcting bullshit is soon to be resolved, as it got old long ago and no one comes out of it looking good.
Japanese and Indian people do not either speak or write English better than the English. Nor do the English speak or write it better than the Japanese, Indian or any other people for that matter. Languages are constantly evolving, there are no right or wrongs. And yes before people jump up and down saying there is a standard written English, so of course there are right and wrongs, I'm afraid that constantly changes as well. So remove your heads from your miseducated arses and enjoy the music.
MartinJKearns. - You must be a very unhappy person. Fortunately listening to the Uks totally invalidates you and your very sad views. I hope the therapy sessions work for you
@SirTWF: It's Britain (or GREAT BRITAIN if you really do believe in that enduring fairy tale - but it is never "britain").
Country names are always capitalised; likewise proper names and titles, such as the Daily Mail. It's because you are only semi literate in the English language that I now know you were probably not educated in Japan or India.
Feel free to name some great things about modern Great Britain and we can discuss it here. All invited, indoors if wet.
@MartinJKearns You know nothing about me. And every country I've been to has lots of good, and bad stuff that it turns out. Are you saying Britain used to be greater than it is? Depends on what you mean by great. I'm proud to be a human from Earth...
Britain's my home, which I miss when I'm away from it. I especially miss its people, just because they're who I'm used to. Better/worse doesn't really come into it. Beyond that, I don't see a lot of point in patriotism. Nostalgia seems foolish too.
@MartinJKearns Also, tasty ale. Chilled to below room temperature, but nowhere near as much as stupidly sweet European pig swill needs to be. And hand pumped, so you can get nicely pissed without getting bloated on useless gas.
@MartinJKearns I'm very sorry Martin but at present the Japanese and Indians do speak and write better English than the English do. English in England is almost completely dead. A rather sorry state of affairs.
@lastgoodid In writing: ". It's because you are only semi literate in the English language that I now know you were probably not educated in Japan or India..."
I was indeed suggesting that both Indian and Japanese children are way better educated in the English language (and all other worthwhile disciplines) than their British counterparts...
A typical Indian youth can easily communicate fluently in English, while a typical Brit teenager struggles with anything beyond the terms Biryani....
@4sophiachan I'm not referring to the way they speak it... But the level of training imparted is of very high standards... An accent does not make a person
@MartinJKearns I'm guessing a Daily Mail or Daily Express reader. Plus, a UKIP or BNP voter. What about Britain's scenery and famous sites, the music we produce, the live music on offer from concerts to opera, the great television on offer to people of different tastes, the large choices of cuisine, our old traditional pubs and newer gastro pubs, our ales and ciders, the food, Sunday roasts, the pound, sports on offer, free healthcare, the history and heritage of the country, we get .....
@MartinJKearns ..... bad weather but at least there aren’t natural disasters, literature, good theatres, tolerance, fairness, politeness and manners and for a lot of people, the Royal Family. If you don’t agree with any of this, then you know what to do. Leave the country! One less negative self-hater to worry about.
@MartinJKearns Liberal democracy, rights to freedom of press, speech and association although not taken horrendously out of context and applied within reason based parameters, industrialisation, strong currency, a powerful monarch who remains benign, multiple party representation, goverment that can take criticism, progression towards secularisation of state, fantastic education system, high level research and technology, in demand service provision, welfare support system, independent judiciary
@CharlieSpeagle I have 12 A*s at GCSE, 2 As at AS level and 3 A*s and an A at A2, reading for a BSc in Logic and Philosophy of Science - Physics from the University of St Andrews. Tell me, why should I doubt my education. Perhaps though your degree from the university of life skills and manners is going to tell me which of my examples is incorrect and decent analysis as to why. As for the strong currency, the pound sterling is still stronger than the euro and the US dollar.
@ukanian You might very well be qualified, and bath yourself in self glorification and postulation...non the less you are a complete fool..and probably a loner to boot!
@HorseLoberr Your own vastly intelligent remarks aside, you too aren't going to answer my challenge then? If I was a petty man I would point out the misspelling of 'bathe' and 'nonetheless'

What do you mean one of the last things great about Britain, I rather think that the NHS, the free education are ok. Mind you Tony B Liar still walks unmolested and un executed as well as the other war criminals and that prancing posh twat Cameron sits there smugly with his loyal little lap dog Clegg, and we are a nation of lap dogs to the worst most un civilised group of imperial wankers to stain the history books.
