Not sure if Lou is still making cartoons or Erika but one of the things about Batman and Bob Kane is that Bill Finger did all the heavy lifting. Bob Kane just put his name to everything. So what I'm saying is if Bruce Timm, Paul Dini or whomever were listening then that's probably where you'd go next with Batman in cartoons. Were you guys to make another show. More of Bill Finger's influence. Ok, here's me asking nicely (grovelling) pleaaaase make another Batman cartoon! CN may not renew BTBATB

Does anyone remember the buzz of the new Saturday morning lineup each season?? I vividly remember one those Saturday's being Sept 11th. I believe it was 1976. That date had always stuck in my head as a magical day for me and all my childhood friends as a children. Then Sept 11th, 2001 came along and forever darkened that date. HOW VERY SAD.
kudos for Mark Hamill for staying so young at heart ..even though he's aged alot since 1977 he still seems to be of the same spirit of his younger days(unlike harrison ford)
I totally prefer the 68 version, too... I really wish they would release that stuff already. Warner can be so slow sometimes... they havent released the last season of the Filmation Superman shows either, only the first volume.
I just desperately want these toons.. and I'm only 25! I watched all this stuff while growing up! Just like the kids in the 60's did, so these shows certainly live on to this day, its not just a little niche audience.
the cartoons only ran to 1:00pm,then we were subjected to the hideous foreign film fest hosted by kukla fran and ollie...LONG LIVE REPUBLICAN CHAMBER OF COMMERCE BATMAN!
And that actor is Kevin Conroy, who was Batman/Bruce Wayne in Batman:The Animated Series, The Batman/Superman Adventures (aka Gotham Knights) as well as Batman Beyond, all of which were produced by Warner Brothers.
You'd be surprised as to how much of that you can see in Batman: The Brave and The Bold, jayce79. The new show, as inherently comic-geared as it is, really does bring back that spirit of innocence, too.
I have. I'm not really into that modern 1940's cartoon animation personally. But it seems like a really fun show for the kids today. I'm glad they enjoy it. But that wasn't exactley what I was saying before.
Personally, I would probably seek apprenticeship under Catwoman. <3 (and be Catgirl. Or maybe Kitten. OH! Or even better, if 'Black Cat' wasn't taken I'd take it! XD)
Lou Scheimer said when Bob Kane visited the studios, he acted dark and gloomy and depressed. Scheimer never said what year that visit took place. I'm guessing it was around 1977. Remember when Filmation produced the original Batman cartoons in the 60s,there were fight scenes with Batman throwing punches. Then Scheimer gets on his non-violence kick and kills all the action in '77. You'd be depressed, too, if the character you co-created was not allowed to kick the Joker's ass anymore.
& whatabout wenn alfred snukk up & kloked bruce in the back of the head with a batarang, then he hauled-off with julie nuumar in a batmobil? he wont be doing that anymore i bet

It is unfortunate that there are no REAL Saturday morning cartoons anymore.

Bob Kane had nothing to say about the Filmation Batman probably because he was so disgusted by how empty and lame they had made his character.

I'd love to see a cartoon series based on the look and the stories from the 70's comic run. That would just be wonderful to an old guy like me.

Batman: The Brave & The Bold show is based on the Silver Age '50s and '60s campy comic run. Not the darker Bronze Age '70s comic run.

@jayce79 Watch Batman the Brave and the Bold then :D
It`s awesome Silver Age fun for all Bat-audiences!

The same thing happened to me..My dad..who
like Mr.Hamil's father was an abusive, controlling,
foul mouthed and patronizing Fat A-! "Go outside
and play and G- Damn It..Don't you give me any
lip service". I wished that "Batman","Robin" and "Superman"
gave him a punch in the mouth and lock him up!

Mr.Kane Didn't care for the comedic versions of
"Batman & Robin". But? Personally,I don't care what Mr.Kane said.
I like the way that he was presented in a comedic
but not too silly character.

Scheimer wasn't on a non-violent kick...it was a result of the Standards and Practices of Saturday morning TV.

Yeah, I always liked Denny O'Neil's take on the character. He was editor during the 90's and part of some of the formative stories like Knightfall.
