I'm having alot of trouble working out how to play this on the pc.

i went to ps3iso and when i downloaded it it was in a weird format, not bios or iso or anything the pxsx2 recognised.

pcsx2 does not support macs only because macs do not support the same type of file strucer or the correct command shell macs really werent built to support alot of hings

Hey guys, I hope you could help me, well i have an ACER aspire 5738zg, my pc has intel pentium processor T4300(2,1GHz, 800 Mhz FSB), Nvidia geforce g105m up tp 1791MB turbocache, 15.6" HD LCD, 4GB DDR3 Memory, 500 GB HDD, DVD super multi DL drive, is it a good computer?? will dark cloud work on it?? I downloaded Dark Cloud for the emulator, but there's no Dark Cloud CD/DVD file but Dark Cloud ISO so I couldn't play. Because PCSX2 only plays CD/DVD files.

@AlyssaQistina98 There's a way do change that, first you have to get "daemon tools lite", then install the program.... then press add file, then go search the iso of dark cloud, and then you have to mount then leave daemon tools lite and go to "my computer" and there it is. i hope i helped you xDD

@Scientologists4Angle I have an ASUS G73JH Quad 1.6 GHz laptop (2,4 Ghz @ Duo Core turbo boost), a good gfx card can always help you boost a little bit more the fps. But it's mostly the processor that matters (higher clocked the better). I have a HD5870, and I can run it full speed 60 fps. Note pcsx2 only supports duo core processor, so you won't benefit from the 3rd or 4th core.

I have used PCSX2 and I tried this but I used a very bad scratched disk; it was very slow. But yes, this is for real. Problem is it takes about a day to setup

Only by overclocking your cpu. By speed up, I meant the video not pcsx2. Or wait till a newer version or beta gets release which will improve fps. You can always try to use speedhacks (Config of pcsx2).

Oh man I had exactly the same problem but I got over it and no need to buy anything. Ok so the thing you must do is find a controller plugin that can make the analog direction into keyboard functions. Remember that Dark Cloud used the analog stick to move and not the cross pad.

You'll need the better cpu speed as possible and duo core. Graphic card dont matter with PCSX2. Hmm good ram and that's it. It mostly the processor speed that will give you a rate of fps. I run at 20fps with 1.83Ghz duo core laptop on Vista...so try get 2Ghz + but then you still need to configure pcsx2 right and find the roms by yourself.

@MasterLuigiSW oh fuck dude, u have the ASUS G73JH ? Damn sweet. The ASUS G73JW-XR1 right now comes w/ i7-740QM for $1,400 from PowerNotebooks(dot) com. I guess that + nVIDIA GeForce GTX 460M w/ 1.5GB GDDR5 should be fast enough? Please let me know.

I don't know if it was your video or not, but someone went detailed through the setup of all the options & I was able to boost output in Xenosaga3 a bit. Funny how downscaling the video gave worst results than upscaling it? Devs made it like that.

@Scientologists4Angle Yeah I do, but this vid was done on my old laptop which was only duo core 1,83 Ghz (It was running at about 25 fps on it, so I speeded up the vid so it doesn't get boring watching something running half speed). I still have troubles running some very processor hungry games such as GT3-A spec, I get 40-45 fps on it. I didn't try out the lastest beta though, I only tried it on r3878. For Dark cloud, I use plugins from r3113 and r3878, the sound plugin from r3878 fucks up DC.

@Scientologists4Angle It depends what games you are aiming for to play. You should also check out the pcsx2 compatibily list if you haven't already. The ASUS G73JW should run it at 60 fps with no problem. But if you don't want gay slowdowns when you fight 3-4 mobs at the same time, feel free to take some time to tweak out your configuration. I could give you mines if you are interested, it should save you a huge amount of time :P
