@box15c22 two reasons sirens weren't blared. A lot of large cities don't require them unless they are actually about to break the law such as run a red light or speed. Most large cities have rules that say only use when completely necessary.
I know exactly where this is, and if ur going to do videos of the LA Co Fire, u should do some videos of Station 170 and 171, and 173's in the heart of Inglewood California
Under LACOFD's operating protocol, private ambulances transport, with an LACOFD paramedic on board the ambulance for treatment with the EMT. For LAFD (CITY) the FD transports in FD ambulances, as in Germany. Station 14 is located in South Central, a fairly rough section of Los Angeles. Part of South Central is in LAFD's area, part in the County.
LACOFD was the first US fire service to provide paramedic services, and they have always sent both an engine and a squad on all rescue/medical calls for these reasons: 1. If additional manpower is required, such as lifting or moving a very heavy patient. 2. In case one unit gets delayed by traffic, an accident, or trains. 3. Engines and squads, where housed in the same station, function as an integrated team. Siren on the Engine is a Q, while the squad is a Federal electronic.
@04smallmj same deal here in canada, its simple. there are more firetrucks and stations on the FD then there are EMS stations. A FD crew running a medical can provide a better first responder service rather then having the patient wait for 5 extra minutes for a EMS to arrive.
No it's not. It should make sense to everyone unless you have have a whole lot of ambulances just sitting around. The fire department beats the medics quite a bit.
I don't like there engines

Now are these paramedic supervisors? Kind of how SFFD has RC's for those who are familiar with the SFFD.

now in south central your typical medical would be a shooting yes?

LACoFD always sends the closest engine, paramedic squad and private ambulance to all medica calls.

Why a squad and a engine to a EMS run? I know they are first responders but why both trucks?

I still can't believe that fire trucks respond to medical calls, that's just silly. I guess it makes sense to Americans...

Because there's more. That's the only reason.
Police beat fire to almost every call they are dispatched to... I wonder why.
