JazakAllah khairan! I want to add a point to the effect of image-making, which the shaykh has missed out. I witnessed it myself, so I'm only talking from personal experience, and I believe a lot of the younger kids are suffering from it too. I'm talking about posters of celebrities. It may look harmless at first, but it has severe long-term effects, especially when you start taking them as role-models. It all starts out by dressing and behaving like them and ends up with the person going astray.

I don't think your story about the artlover is fair! Religion asks of its followers to put faith and obedience to god before anything, even human life as we see so often with suicide bombers.

If you had the choice to either save a child or some holy artifact or relic, I seriously doubt you would run for the child!

BTW the Louvre has excellent security and fire extinguishers, so the child AND the Mona Lisa will be fine! ;)

@Tomar17 - this rashad and his sect are nto the only ones that came out to the world, the ahmadiyyah/qadianis have a similar false prophet, mirza gulam, the nation of islam have they false elijah, the bhais in india....etc all have false prophets. Hi, Like the speaker said, you may not worship these pictures but generations after you may look at those pictures with admiration and start worshipping (he says this at about the 8 minute mark). There are many verses in the Quran regarding this issue. Also he didn't say adultery he says idolatry. Hope this helps.

2. Museums and pictures. Pictures are entertainment again, you like to look at them from far and close to see how they're drawn, maybe participate in the drawings yourself. It's something to enjoy. If a person would choose a painting over a baby, that has nothing to do with the image, but the person's idiocy. Islam teaches kind deeds and how important are human beings over material things. That should be enough. Why ban things?

If the quran is perfect, why do you need hadith to put more laws with what the Quran says, knowing the quran is complete, guarded by God, full complete contains every example in it, if complete, is perfect...
