BUT all 4 guys got equal pay.

albums-dvd-DL/sales, shows and merch 1/4 to each guy.

go to the ASCAP website and you can see how a group like this (Bass-Drums-Guitar and Vocal) gets credited for legal (writting) contributions....its kinda cool.

Many times, all the bass can do in a metal band is just beef up that guitar line. Sometimes that's the best thing the bass guitar can do. If Brown filled up a track like this with a bunch of fills and stuff like that it probably wouldn't sound very good. That's what happens when you're in a very riff driven band...bass typically just has to follow the guitars.

Rex was always a great player, lots of thickness to his sound. But one department where he lacked in pantera was innovation. Man hes just following the rest of the bands leads, too similar to what Dimebags doing. I mean look at Vinnie Paul, hes excellent at the drums, Dimebags kickass on guitar adding another layer on top and then Phils ofcourse doing his harsh as hell southern vocals. Then Rex following Dimebag is just not radical enof
