You're required to study three language subjects anyway, so even if you didn't have to do Irish, you'd have to do English and two other languages, like French or German. I actually never found Irish difficult whilst in school. I do happen to think that Irish should not be a mandatory subject. If a student wishes to study it then fine, but it shouldn't be forced upon everyone. It isn't that it's hard, it's just unneccessary.

Irish is given the same amount of value in the LC as maths and English. It's a fucking joke to be quite honest. Leave all that patriotism bullshit aside and let's be realistic here. There is no need for the Irish language anymore.
