He could ask any young singer and he asked Rihanna, obviously because that is what he wanted, so why would he think that it sucked? Maybe he likes her music or he just thinks that she is pretty, whatever the reason, he wanted Rihanna on stage with him. No one imposed Rihanna on him.

We could debate whether or not the Just Jared website is telling the truth but I don't see why they would lie. However, if Rihanna was the one who asked them, they could have said no. Jon Bon Jovi seems to be an intelligent person with a strong sense of self, I doubt that Rihanna could persuade him to do something that he didn't really want to do.

@greyquinn I think the reason Rihanna had trouble with this song is that it is too low for her. Her natural range is much higher. I think she tried, but she couldn't get her powerful breaths out in such a low range. I am a singer, too, an alto one, and Bon Jovi's songs are just out of my low range. I can sing it, but not with as much force. I think it is pretty cool that Rihanna stepped out of her own genre to give props to Bon Jovi.
