when i go to USS Nimitz, it takes me to an airport. Any tips on how to spawn onto the carrier directly?

On Windows, just type Nimitz into the aircraft carrier box, press ENTEr, and it spawns you on it!!

Man my Flightgear is Windows and I can only think the Nimitz flew up as he is his code for me get into it??

Just a note regarding the "panels" that go up behind the aircraft. These are called Jet Blast Deflectors (sailors just call them JBDs). These have no impact whatsoever on thrust, as it states in the movie. Their sole purpose is to deflect the jet blast from the aircraft. They are HUGE structures, made up of three panels. Each panel is nearly 1 foot thick, and contains piping used to run cooling water through. The shop I used to work in on the IKE was located directly beneath the JBD on Cat 4.

Sorry, I don't know that much about the FlightGear set-ups on Windows. All I know is that it might be under "missions", but I could be wrong!

@uvawu to get nimitz on windows you have to type in Nimitz where it says carrier opps under the airport selection. Then in the next screen under scenarios go to nimitz demo you should arrive at Nimitz.

Yes I'm also very happy with the carrier feature in FlightGear. Sometimes there's even a multiplayer carrier online. Then you can land there with other players.

I'm trying to do this move
