Yeah, he definitely didn't lunge at the line. CJ ran track in HS and knows how to come off the blocks, but I don't think he was feeling well/healthy that day. He skipped a lot of stuff at the combine. Who knows, all I know is that he outruns everyone's angles, so who cares!!!

I noticed with super fast running backs, instead of running their fastest to burn a defender, if the defender is close enough, they kind of slow down to break the Db's tackle. Look at the play at 3:00

Lavelle Hawkins is underrated...he had a had a bad season. He'll develop into a solid receiver.

Exactly. If there was an amazing WR in the draft this year, the Titans would have picked him up, but there was so much depth to the WR pool this year, they decided to fill other needs. Yea he is good but we really didn't need a runningback. We needed a good #1 wide reciver. But no, we draft another runningback 2 defensive ends that we didn't need at all, a tight-end, then eventually a wide reciver.

Lavelle is a pretty solid WR, maybe not the best in the draft, but coach Fisher and the draft staff knew what they were doing. The Titans needed to make upgrades to other positions and since the draft had many solid receivers left in day two, they opted to select the best blocking/recieving TE in the draft and the speed of CJ. Stevens plus Alge will be a sick combination. We need to get past the WR situation. I think once the season starts people won't be so upset about the selections made.

Trust me, you will not be disappointed with Chris Johnson. The guy is a gamebreaker and can outrun anybody, he has world class speed. Not many people can say that.

It is not a stretch to say that he can have the impact on a game like Devin Hester has for the Bears. Trust me and enjoy Titan football this fall.

Seeing these highlights, a lot of the running plays and screens CJ ran at ECU are similar to what the Titans run as well with VY at QB...the read run play where VY can hand off or hold on for a QB run; that play with Lendale would go for 0-10 yards but with CJ it could go for a TD. Nice pick up by the Titans!!

I totally agree Shawn. His ability to run the bubble screen/swing pass complements Vince perfectly. The double threat of Young/CJ will pull defensive backs up, allowing for the wide outs to make plays as well. I had the opportunity and privilege of watching Johnson make many of these great plays as I finish my education here at East Carolina in December.
