What makes the scene even more shocking and brutal is that Julie is just a sweet, innocent character. I actually saw this movie years before the original, which this scene pays tribute to, so this is my favorite of the two same kind of kills.
is it a bad thing that when ever someone gets killed in the nightmare movies I smile? >=) and this death scene is my favorite (including Tina/kris' death)
Basically, Wes Craven had no involvement in the films 4-6. New line cinema had a successful character and milked it so much they turned him from a creepy, sinister figure into a pointless clown who kills people in their sleep - Freddy's dead was one of the shittiest horror films ever. He made too many jokes, wasn't scarry and failed to be funny.
So, Wes Craven creates this film to rebuild Freddy's fear factor and shattered reputation.
@ShadyJ96 The funny thing is, "Freddy's Dead" ended up looking like a masterpiece once the "Nightmare on Elm Street" remake came out a couple years ago. LOL!!
I would have loved to see Patricia Arquette (the original Kristen) play Julie... not tuesday night haha, would have made the scene more interesting to watch (not that there was anything wrong with it)
@freecodyhummings Tuesday Knight doesn't play Julie, the actresses name is Tracey Middendorf. Tuesday does have a cameo earlier in the film, though. Only a few seconds.
This scene really pissed me off because Julie was such a cool, likable character who didn't deserve to die. But just the same, it's a really wild, suspenseful sequence.
ew imagine if there was instructions for the game skin the cat? O_o
first, you stab the victim in the back, or spinal area. Second, you drag them all around the room - on the ceiling, and the walls. and Finally, they reach out to the ground when they're almost dead, and you finish them off, making them fall back to the floor in a small pool of blood. *NOT FOR CHILDREN. DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME.*
According to the documentary 'Never Sleep Again: The Elm Street Legacy,' an original idea they had for the movie was to have it turn out that Julie was Freddy's accomplice/ pawn the whole time. According to that idea, Julie was the stalker who was behind the threatening letters and phone calls Heather received, I guess as a way to create enough fear to revive Freddy.
@Kyown89 me too. i don't remember it too well. I didn't know what it was, and I never really found out, until I started watching the nightmare movies. I was horrified by it.

How exactyl did he kill her. I didn't see him cut her at all (though there was blood) and at the end all he did was push her head down (or up)
15GamingGuy 7 months ago
@15GamingGuy The first thing he did was cut her. He puts his claws through her back when he lifts her up.
Xemnas1989 7 months ago

@15GamingGuy he stab her in the back, then he lift her up, you can see her blood trace, and he break her neck.
61astarte 4 weeks ago
@15GamingGuy If you listen carefully, you can hear a crunching sound. Its supposed to be her neck snapping.
