where do I get the trace repair metal.

I use repair wire.

scratch channel to reveal copper, solder wire, done. (not as pretty though)

Wouldn't it just be easier to use a piece of 26 guage wire (or smaller depending on trace size) and just scrap the mask away and just bridge the two points that are messed up with a wire. I have done that and haven't had a problem.

Would you please recommend the type of flux (and perhaps the brand or manufacturer part#) that you used in most of your Youtube videos?
