Can anyone tell me if there is still the little shop called 'Cobwebs' in Galway? It wasn't on a closed (two-sided street)... it's been many years since I've been to Galway and Ireland in general...and I tell ya... the withdrawal symptoms are terrible!
Lived in Galway for several months, and I just left to move back home to the states. The city stole my heart, and judging by everyone else's responses it seems to have done the same for many others. What a player....
I live in Ohio in the United States. I hope to move to Galway when I'm done with college. Im a freshman in college now and it may take me a while to finish so hopefully within 6 or 7 years!
Galway is a great, easy going fun place to hang out, hear outstanding music, meet friendly people, and wander around. Nice shops, pedestrian friendly, beautiful bay and river. I will be back to Tig Coeli in May.
I too left my heart in Galway and the rest of Ireland too!! I knew when I had been there a few hours, I was home. I hope to live there someday!!!! I salute you and the people in Galway that were so kind and to the rest of Ireland that were so kind too!!!! You all are wonderful host! Thank you!
@liverpoolshit If you don't like Galway don't fucking go there..it's simple..You needn't be so rude about it you puff, learn to shut your mouth. You're the most arrogant fuck I've ever had the misfortune of seeing on Youtube. So grow up and fuck yourself. Galway isn't going anywhere. Miserable disgusting fuck.
Was in Galway first in 1977, then again 1985. Spent 3 month in 1994 and have been back to visit on holiday every year since. An old city with a very young heart. Writers, poets, musicians, painters: an artistic jewel set on the west coat of Eire. Where the water and the sky are abundant. "You can experience 4 seasons in one day here,"a Galwegian once said to me. And he was right. NYC is my homeParis my heart. But Galway is my soul.
I'm totally agree with you,i'm Parisian and i was in Galway first time two years ago just with a friend. It's a wonderful place, many things to do,a lot of young people (oh,beautiful irish girls students...) and i will return this year! You just can't die without have visited Galway. And then you cannot too, just to come back here!
@B42 - McDonaugh's is a must if you are visiting Galway. Fish and Chips is what they serve. I think its located on Quay Street. I was last there last April.
I love this video. Galway truly is the best city in Ireland. Loads of craic, better than my hometown Chicago.
and it is my home town.. but dont down play the windy city.. music magic.. beauty on great lakes.. crappy airport!.. but heck.. right time right place. hope you make it back soon !
@b42baritone Galway is a very expensive city and tourists often get fleeced by greedy business owners. I actually prefer McDonalds because they offer Euro Saver Menu's.
@b42baritone ha ha when i first read your comment i thought it read you ate in mcdonalds and i was thinking why the hell would you fly half way across the word to eat in mcdonalds.......hope you enjoyed your stay in Galway

galway is one of the biggest shitholes ever,
everytime i go there its pissing rain and half the place is flooded,
what an over rated shithole.
the next time it rains i hope galway is washed away out to sea,
and brendan mccann is a cunt.

This is great - I'm jealous, lived in galway for years but eventually couldn't keep up the pace of work to pay the exorbitant rents

I will be visiting Galway in April. Can anybody tell me how good is Mc Donagh restaurant?
b42baritone 2 years ago
@b42baritone McDonagh's restaurant is a rip-off - expensive and gets crowded during summer months, often no free seating spaces available.
Highwaycrazy 1 year ago
@Highwaycrazy
I was in Galway in April (before the volcano closed Ireland) and I had lunch at McDonagh's. I found the food "fair to partly cloudy".
