I think you're confused, but I know why. This is not the Japanese version in the sense that the voices are in English, but the scene itself is uncut and shown just like it was on Japanese TV. The "night time" scene where "you see him take them off" is from Dragon Ball Movie 4, which is a re-telling of the Dragon Ball TV Series (including this scene) but with GT-style animation. And that scene has been dubbed into English as well.

Well, see, this is where it gets tough. Dragonball and Dragonball Z (both the manga and the animes) *are* meant for children. But they're meant for Japanese children...and Japan's culture is more tolerant of certain things than others are (this has led to the common misconception that they're tolerant of EVERYTHING, which they aren't--divorce is a huge taboo, especially in children's material). I've debated with myself when and how I'm going to introduce DB to my future kids.

Right, but "when they're old enough," is something that's up for debate. I'll probably have a better idea once I actually have kids, but when we're dealing with kids in general, it's really hard to tell. It varies from kid to kid, I mean I saw my first rated-R movie when I was 8. DB isn't THAT bad, though. I'll probably introduce them to it when they're about 8-10 years old.

It honestly depends. by the time I was 8 I had seen a good amount of R-rated films (Terminater 2 was my first,I think) when I got in middle school I read Dragonball again and had literally no problem with it. in fact I thought a lot of the humor was hilarious. but DB isn't R-rated though. believe it or not I saw an X-rated film called Fritz the cat. it was a cartoon about an cat in the 70s who mostly tried getting laid and smoking marijuana.
