@GrandMasterScotty you obviously were one of those fag posers that liked Motley Crue, Poison, and Guns n Roses, cause thrash metal (good metal) had serious lyrics too and Grunge kicked ass, it may have ruined 80s glam (gay l.a. metal) but thrash kept going
people give Kurt waaay too much credit for taking down 80s rock. There is nothing like 80s Rock and nothing will come close to it. But, some grunge bands were really f*ing good. Alice N Chains for one, was pretty awesome. And still are. And I think a lot of us can agree that the "Rock" bands today are just over produced wanna bes anyway, who wish they were anything like RATT etc. And our 80s bands are making a come back! Thank god!
I remember seeing What was billed as "Stephen Pearcy's RATT" ,at a small bar ,in Ft Lauderdale , around 2002??and The there was a scam going on. The club owners billed the show as "Starring Warren Dimartini" (The only reason I went) and when they opened ,the guitarist kept his back to the crowd for the first half of the song , and he kinda looked like warren from the back , then ,he turned around ,and he was an imposter !!! The crowed booed , and half of us left!!! it was sad .
@cutty1998 Lmao, I went to see L.A. Guns at club Revolution in Ft. Lauderdale in 2006 thinking Traci Guns would be there. Instead some other guy was playing lead guitar and it was the Phil Lewis show...ftw.
You've never heard a Soundgarden or Alice in Chains album, have you. The only guy who was a hack in the grunge thing was Kurt, (he was a great lyricist though) everyone else could play. Sometimes I just wanna sit down some of you and educate on this matter. Its perfectly fine to like 80's metal and grunge...even if it seems like sacrilege.
For those who have asked where Robbin Crosby is... his last show was in Japan earlier that year (1991). Due to personal issues he was removed from the band. He was psudo replaced by Michael Shenker during the Detonator tour with Bang Tango, LA Guns and all-star group Contraband. During this tour RATT had a guy playing keyboard and Michael Shenker filled Robbin Crosbys slot.
People got sick of the second wave of hair metal bands like Warrant and Trixter and shit. First wave guys like Ratt and Whitesnake took all the heat though because they were the first to break the L.A. metal thing. Thank God we're seeing the first wave guys making it back! Anywho, grunge has its place too...there's a lot of great shit like 'Facelift' or 'Dirt' from Alice in Chains. Tell me those aren't badass albums!
I don´t think that the depression were the shitty thing about nirvana...it´s more like their oh we´re sooo fucking bad because our chearleaders have the anarchy A ohh were not metal not punk we´re a little of everything pfff sorry I had to say it lol
Dude what a great vid you captured! It was cool to hear Warren jam over Robbin's half of the solo spot too. Check out my vid response - it's me and another YouTuber playing along to the original. Rock on!
the guitarist and rhandy rhaods have very similar playing styles as far as the way they have their hands i cant play with my hands turned like that it looks kool though
Robbin was no longer with the band. He was gone by pretty much the end of February 1991. The other Ratt Japan 1991 vids are the last you can see of him.

I like ratt but people got bored of there music and fashion style. Then in the early 90's bands with like 4 chord songs just killed it all.

This is a great song... nice shot by the way... but where's Robbin Crosby?
I love Ratt and always will, but anyone who thinks Kurt Cobain ruined it all is just plain ignorant.
Music changes... Alice In Chains were part of that.... they came out of the '80's sound into there own....
It also pissed Axl Rose off, because they had Good music.... he also was smart enough to know that.....
picodeguyo 2 years ago
this is great music....then that cobain fag came in and ruined it all
okrabay 2 years ago 30
That is exactly right...I'd say the only metal bands that managed to keep going were Metallica & Alice in Chains.

great band and song but the 80's were dead long before kurt hit the scene

@okrabay Too right. Grunge was the antithesis of 80's metal and hard rock. It was depressing, bleak shit. Fuck grunge.
