hi there. can you tell me what the feeling is on your body when your on a space walf and you go from being in the shade of the iss, to being in direct sunlight, then temp change it massive, do you feel it even in a space suit, and what are those temperature, shade & sunlight. thankyou for your time Dean. london england
The day is coming very soon that many more people will be able to experience that life-changing feeling. Our world has sustained an unbelievable amount of progress and development, and still has more than enough resources to support humans until such scientific breakthroughs are made to make space travel a reality for EVERYONE. Today, in space, its not about us; its all about the knowledge, experience and technology that we leave behind to the next generation.....and the one after that....
the amazing part is that you can see the whole planet, where everything you know belongs to;-you see how small and fragile it is it,but also very beautiful
Hi there, I wonder if you can do decent observations through that window in the night. And if yes, what's the limit of apparent magnitude of stars that you can see? (I guess slightly bigger than Earth's +5.5,+6) Also can you see the Milky Way stripe clearly ?
The remarkable effect of seeing the earth from space is obviously the vision of the whole planet. How petty are the concerns of mankind. We are just one example of life here, and we MUST become more responsible. We must discard our differences, our pathetic religions, our speciesism.
Me parece estupenda la visión que se observa. Gracias a Jose María por realizar ésta pregunta y a Frank que al responderla nos ha permitido disfrutar de éste espectáculo.
I´m José María,. First to say that I am very satisfied for the response and also very happy, and I hope that you have a good flight, thank you very much from Spain!

Does it feel wierd in your brain when youre up there? Looks like your cheeks are being pushed up a bit.

Yes. On Earth gravity pulls the blood down into your legs.
In zero G the blood gets more evenly distributed, so your face looks puffy.
