@charizardpal It was a chase race with Tak chasing Mako. All Tak had to do was pass her in order to win. If Tak fell too far behind he would have lost. If they finished the pass neck and neck they would start over in reverse order: Mako chasing Tak. This process repeats until someone wins.

Although there is a large emphasis on drifting, as you can see from Nakazato in the R32 some people chose to drive in a grip style. A properly modified and maintained FF car driven by a good driver can be a menace on a downhill touge race.

@bdf7707 This battle was all about patience. Takeshi showed right off the bat that he didn't have any patience by going all out at the beginning of the race. To further prove this, he immediately turned on his wipers. Keisuke on the other hand was saving his tires, waiting to make his move towards the end of the race. He showed that he was cool and composed by not turning on his wipers.

Battle Stage is a remake of all fight scenes in Stage 1. Note that if you watch the 3D scenes in Stage 1 the scenes are darker and there is less detail in the background (Normally wouldnt be able to see beyond one row of trees.) Battle stages provides more detail on the 3D scenes.
