Little did I know it, when I watched this live on TV many years ago that I would now be a court reporter, watching it again is still so funny. Even though real court reporters don't act like this and are impartial and professional, this has to be the funniest skit ever in hindsight.  I loved the "good old days."

This is hysterical! I am a first semester court reporting student and right now we have loaner machines (they don't give us the ones we paid for until we're about two months in) that look just like the one Carol is on!! Horrible things, they always break during dictation!

I grew up watching this show with my grandma and we used to laugh ourselves silly. As I got older I realized how much ground breaking Carol did on tv as a comedienne. AND as a dramatic actress, she got a Golden Globe nomination as best actress for the film "The Life of the Party", a true story. I am in San Antonio, one the west part of town, where Carol Burnett lived as a kid and teen ager, they are trying to save her house from the wrecking ball. Its a nice big Victorian style house. Funny part, she grew up in big Mexican American neighborhood in West San Antonio.
