I have the full set and willing to sell if you are interested. Sadly I don't have the room anymore and they sit in a plastic tub with other books in a closet. My Dad ordered me the first book for my birthday when I was a kid and I got one every 4- 6 weeks, coolest gift I got ; ) I actually have 2 of the Magical Justice Books. One was sent by accident and Time Life said to just keep it.
I bought the "Dragons" volume back in 2001. Now I want the rest! lol. Time Life really made extraordinary books back then. I have 6 from the "Time Frame" series.
When I look at them, they are STILL top quality, even at 25 years old+
The witch at the end of this commercial used to scare the crap out of me as a kid, especially the first "Enchanted World" commercial she appeared in. Thanks for the memories!!!
I just won the entire 21 volume set on ebay!!!! I've been wanting these books since I first saw the commercial with the great Vincent Price back in 1985. Along with him and that creepy music,I was sufficiently scared into wanting them.It has taken me 25 years to find the entire set.I am absolutely stoked!
Awesome. I used to see these commercials when I was a kid. Also, my last elementary school teacher brought these books to classic. The artwork was amazing. Hail The Enchanted World.
Anyone know if they have more up to date books of these kind? I want similar books, but it's 2009. In all that time from 1986, they could of proven or got more info on mysterious things.
im looking for the image of Macha from the book Gods and Goddesses from this series ...
the image is of Macha over a battlefield wearing a feather coat ... please help I have been looking forever ... if you have it please email it to me or at least tell me who the artist is!! thanks~
This commercial aptly sets the mood for the book series. While dealing with the fantastical, the series was intended for a more mature demographic, as most of the illustrations were disturbing and the stories contained mature subject matter such as father-daughter incest (Thyestes & Pelopia in "Tales of Terror").
Incest, eh? Just like the Biblical Lot who had sex with his two daughters after they fled the destruction of Sodom & Gomorrah? Nice Family Values in that book too.
i loved this series.scared me as a child and gives me chills even as an adult.the commercials were chilling too.i still have all 21 of these books and still read them
Zoinks I remember this one. That comercial used to scared the shit out of me. I didn't know which was scarier watching the transformation or hearing Vincent Price's voice.
Thanks for that! The one I am looking for is I think the first one from 1985 too - it is mostly just head shots of people (witches?) talking about the enchanted world. It scared the crap out of me as a child!
the woman at the end is the kicker. I forgot her exact words, but it left an impression with this kid!

TimeLife or its successor should revive its various book properties as a premium web site or sites. It would have great entertainment value.
