this was the first football game i played and i played it in 2001 and bought it at gamestop for 0.99 cents. it was one of my favorite ps1 games

I liked the gameday series before they went with 3D polygons in '98.

Loved Gameday '97, right when you sacked the QB and there would be lightning in the background (if it was raining).

Damn.. I remember this game.. My cousin and I picked it up for old times sake a couple of a weeks ago.. Played one game. I think I was the Cowboys.. And he was the 49ers.. I won like 50-21. Fun game. I loved it so much when I was a kid.

This game rocked, I changed my allegiance from Madden to Game Day with this game. This was one of my first games for the Playstation, along with Destruction Derby!

@funkyflights Huh? It was the best football game of that era EA was way behind, they had trouble coding for the PS when it was first released and Sony got a huge head start that they were not equal until Gameday '99 was released. Gameday was on top for almost 5 years!

@milkmanv1 Same here, I pre-ordered my PS1, I knew it was going to be a game changer. First games I got where - Destruction Derby, Warhawk, Twisted Metal, Konami NBA, Tekken and NFL Gameday. We were all used to playing SNES EA football and this SMOKED it so bad, we played for I think 14-16 hours straight...The machine was almost never off when I took it up to Chico State as well...
