My sister has just qualified as a Staff nurse and I am a qualified paramedic,we learnt division at junior school FFS!
@di55illu5ioned I am a nurse (APRN)...what exactly is a "Qualifed paramedic" Are you administering medications? I mean a paramedic IS a lot different than someone who just took a course and rides in the ambulance (EMT), so what exactly are you qualified for, I really am just curious. Thanks =)
@vanessapisces13 I was an Emergency Paramedic. Different to an EMT. We were trained to basically the same level as a junior doctor.
I got my Qualifications in the Military, and was qualified to administer meds wheras it used to be that Ambulance staff were not. There are now a number of qualified paramedics riding in ambulances, as they can make diagnoses and administer needed drugs before the trip to hospital and cubicle wait.
I am now in a much less stressful and financially lucrative job.
