I'm a Tax Preparer,and have been for ten years. I, and the court system, have heard time and time again, about the constitutionality or unconstitutionality of taxes. Every single time, every time, that the courts are brought a case that questions the constitutionality of Federal Taxes, the courts rule that they are constitutional. That's 100% of the time, throughout the history of out tax system.

why the hell are they trying to insinuate that Warren Buffett, the richest person on the planet, who donated tens of billions to charity, of trying to improve his chances of earning more money?
you sound like a communist anyone who supports the IRS is a communist actually, did you know internal revenue is an adopted strategie used by communist. flat tax is the only american think too do B.L.America
@StillHaveADream exactly, How many people do you trust with money? Im guessing out of everyone you know very few would you trust to do the right thing and make sure money goes unselfishly to those who truly need it. Just because a person is not a good business man does that mean that should have to live in undignified homes and having to work so much that they cannot even be constant parents to their children as they work and live pay check to pay check. good comment jc
This Senator from Oregon fails to understand the U.S. Constitution. It is Unconstitutional for the government to tax our Income, let alone the term flat tax, u tax, air tax, whatever tax. Senator would you read the U.S. Constitution. Thank you
@Freeskies you are not An American are you. Please go somewhere where there is no taxes. because taxes is the price we pay for our civilization and if you do not want to play our way go somewhere else.
Warren Buffett owns life insurance companies that rely on the death tax in order to sell their estate-planning businesses. Buffett made about a billion dollars off of the Wall Street bailout by investing in Goldman Sachs on the assumption Uncle Sam would bail it out. He also is planning investments in ethanol giant ADM and government-contracting leviathan General Dynamics. If your businesses’ revenue comes from the U.S. Treasury, of course you want more wealth.
Social Security tax rates should go up to infinity, the rich should be subsidizing the poor. It is after all "social" security. Buffett briefly mentions this, but its much more important than the estate tax. This money could also then go to fund medicare for those under 18 years of age.

You should read the constitution more carefully. The U.S. Congress has the power to levy taxes. This is the price for living in a free country.

@piggyman8
That's already what is happening. People who are paying into the current system are subsidizing people who are collecting Social Security benefits.
