Jeez..what a scene?! So just how crowded is this spot ..? Did you get there at 4am? I bet when you go to take a leak and come back..someone's moved in on your spot! ; )
@Starboard76 It is not too bad, I just avoid weekends and peak time. Bright an early is good, the peak is 7:30 to 9AM. so it's not so tough on the bladder. I just counted 99 heavies registered in Taiwan, 95% base at RCTP, I 'd bet I could do a video with all 99 heavies B number list.....
so CI's planes always use North runway and EVA's planes always use South runway? I'm a huge fan of EVA AIR, if you could please film more EVA hanger that would be really great!!! Can't wait to see the 3 new EVA's Hello Kitty Jets!!! are they in Evergreen's hanger right now? I can't wait to see CI's 744 "Sky Team" livery too!!! ^______________^
@payton89222 For the most part , that is the case. EVA's Cargo flight and all other freighter use the North, while Cathay Pacific (the third largest carrier serve RCTP) use the South. I think the Hello Kitty cs should be factory provide , I doubt there is painting facility at RCTP, I heard they are not due in until November. Now that you mention, the effective entry date for CI into Skyteam is September 28, 2011, maybe there will be a dedicated cs plane at work.
@payton89222 Always CI on the North runway, now all come to the South. There are EVA maintenance Hangars by the start of 05R, a quarter of the fleet there most of the time.
Wonderful action!! I love seeing all these Asian heavies.. It is nice that planes take off right next to you makes a great touch when you film the taxiing plane behind it..
@hmasurg In the case of Taoyuan Airport, my guess 90% of the traffic is heavy. There are 52 Taiwan registered 747's,, most common sight of the type. Not complaining, especially been 500 ft. from the take off roll!

@linjeflyg Well.. It is mean, what you know how to choose a very good place for hunting :)

Woow! Congestion! :) It's really a good thing having more than 2 runways... But ayways, 2 is even better than only a single runway.
I LOVE THIS VID! CI and BR everywhere! :))

@truly0phinoy Thanks, congestion is great for spotter, not for pilot and passenger.....
