I don`t know who made the comment about British side not using intimidation. But you obviously overlooked the job the Baa Baas did on Sid Going in this match. They knew he has a very bad shoulder that he was nursing it the entire tour. But they targeted him and he had to leave the game injured. He was a corageous and skillful player and one of my all time favorites.
"Intimidation is not part of the British Isles game" dream on mate. England and some Irish teams have been built upon intimidation as much as a New Zealand, Australian (of the 80s and 90s) or South African teams. The two southern hemisphere teams though have had more skillfull players on a consistent basis is all.
@madscientistify sorry, but all sports in that era were subjected to the apartheit. Actually, the Rugby helped to break the regime. Mandela said it, not me!
