For those trying to look for this track in the movie, it only shows up briefly in the scene where Al Pacino's character Vincent is shaking down info from a CI's (criminal informant) brother, Richard, who's played by Tone Loc in a underground club. Wonderful track to an amazing film...
It turns me off that Hollywood will rarely represent criminals in a realistic way. It is not bobby de niro and val kilmer types. they are usually fat mexicans and ugly blacks and sometimes white trash types that look like the guy from oc chopper. just once, they should tell it like it is.
have you ever been to los angeles county jail? I have,(to visit), out of 100 prisoners, 65 are mexican, 32 are black, 3 are white and those whites do not look anything like val kilmer.
You obviously have not watched this movie, they have an (ugly) mexican guy (Danny Trejo) in their gang and a black guy (Dennis Haysbert) as their getaway driver. There is even a nazi "white trash" scumbag who is pivotal to the plot. If you think highly professional and motivated criminals like this do not exist then what the hell was the North Hollywood shootout? Michael Mann always shows criminals in a realistic way but nobody wants to see movies centered around low rent thugs.
Olbertus is right. Criminals of the caliber depicted in Heat are excellently typecast. The mix of intelligent criminals and scumbags shows that yes in the real world, the smart criminals still need the scumbags, as just like running a legitimate business "good people are hard to come by" so it is in the criminal world... good criminals are hard to come by, and when you NEED manpower sometimes you have to take what you can get.
The North Hollywood shootout were two white trash assholes who watched HEAT. One of the tech advisors or heat Eddie Bunker, a former professional thief and author of No Beast So Fierce said that if there was a crew with the level of Macauley's crew's skill, they wouldn't be robbing banks.
everybodies rite this movie was one of the best movie that came out in the 90s i think this beat is thumpen if you got nice subs in the trunk garanteed slap.
There are some eclectic U2 fans who like Passengers, Zooropa, POP albums. I love these albums and i guess the people who are here too like these albums.
Song dose NOT work with this movie... Sorry!

I love Heat, but when I watch it now, one of my thoughts is going to be how horrible DeNiro/Pacino's followup, Righteous Kill, was.

The best De Niro - Pacino duet ever, Rightheous Kill was not the same.
The song with a slightl aperiance of Bono's voice and this clip make Heat above the line...!

The movie is realistic . Do not generalize . It is LA in the 90's' corrupt cops and inept criminals I love Michael Mann's movies
